I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's Biopsy results...(virtual Hugs)

@fiona00004 This is such hard , difficult news Fiona. My mom battled cancer and my father-in-law is currently battling it as well so I understand the feelings. Sending prayers for you, your dad and family <3 Well wishes, also, for wisdom in the medical decisions that will need to be made and peace in the process.

I’m so sorry @fiona00004. Sending you strength and hugs. Please use this site as a source of support when you need it. The waves of emotions you are feeling are completely normal. It can be hard to get your bearings when trying to process everything.

What a heartache, I'm praying for your strength to face the upcoming medical procedures and days ahead for your Dad. There are some great strides being made in cancer treatment and, hopefully, your Dad will be the recipient of those strides.

I don't know your immediate family dynamics, but also during this time have a heart to heart talk with your Dad if he is able. Talk about your lives together, things that have meant the most to you, family history and, of course, to tell him you love him. And then, unless you are aware he has someone in your family such as Mom, brother, etc. who is totally informed of his end of life planning, have an in-depth conversation regarding this.

Too often I have seen and heard of family loss with no estate planning or wills. The simplest things like missing insurance policies, bank accounts, social security numbers and so forth have lead to compounding misery. I currently have a relative in an awful turmoil with these issues.

I hope this isn't a concern and that your Dad has planned well but being on the younger side we often think we have time for that business. For his peace of mind and yours, check now if in doubt.

I'm so sorry, Fiona. That is a lot to take in. Sending all the love and strength to you and your dad, and your whole family. It's going to be a group effort.

And I want to echo everything @Sunrises Sunsets said. All really important stuff.
