I have to agree with everyone else that I''d keep looking if I were you. I do like the Manuel Mota better... as harsh as it sounds, I agree that the second dress looks sort of like a sack with a belt. It does NOTHING for your figure, which seems to be gorgeous!

So my vote is 1 over 2 if I have to choose, but I''d keep shopping, personally.

Number 1. Love the bodice.

Warning: man''s opinion

It is hard to really tell from a cell phone picture of a dress that doesn''t quite fit. However, I don''t think either of those dresses are right for you. Dress #1 goes from too busy up top to elegant, simple, and flowing just below that. I just don''t think it''s a good combination, at least not for you height and weight. I do like dress #2 in pics 3 and 4, not so much in the last two pics with the belt. Not necessarily because of the belt, I think the close up of it just doesn''t look as good. It looks better at a distance. I can''t quite tell the color of the belt. Is it a black? Are there color options? You are blessed with a gorgeous figure and I am certain you don''t need an expensive dress to look stunning in a unique dress for a garden wedding. Keep looking and I think you will find something that just screams WOW!!!!!

Ok, I definitely am going to keep looking. However, does anyone know of a dress that is similar to dress 1 as far as the bottom of the dress, but with a plain or slightly gathered bustline? My dream dress would be that full billowy skirt with an empire bustline with slight gathering so that the pleats run along the bust. does that make sense? pleats/gathers that go horizontally instead of gathered vertically. If anyone has seen anything like this please let me know!!!!

What about Maggie''s "Ireland"?

Matthew Christopher "2800 Nocturne" From Spring 2008 though...

i like the 1st dress but it looks like your hiding something. is that your dress size your wearing? maybe if it were a bit tighter it''ll look better.

i haven''t read through all the responses, i love the look you are going for, but i don''t really like the dresses, you have such a pretty figure and those dresses just aren''t bringing it out, some of the ones sunnyd posted are gorgeous!

sunnyd - the first and fourth one are gorgeous! Especially the fourth - the Jenny P.

Les12 - what do you think of that one?

Oh doodle, those are beautiful. I love seven and nine is gorgeous!

I would look at August Jones dresses. They make beautiful empire gowns, like the one PilsnPinkysMom''s got or the Chenoa which is one of my most favorite bridal gowns ever!

OMG, that Chenoa dress is absolutely gorgeous!

So I have looked and looked and these pictures. I get the dresses were too big. I think the overall problem IMO, is the size and scale of the flowers to your body frame and size. They are simply too big. I think the look of dress you are going for is beautiful, but try on some dresses with smaller flowers maybe. Definitely keep looking though I would say. Good luck and keep posting pictures, we love those!

Hope I''m not too late on this one...I like number 1!!!
