I am new here and have been doing a lot of reading.
i am considering a 2.46 D VS2 Cushion Ideal stone.
It is GIA.
Can all the cushion experts here tell me if this is a good stone? Will it be sparkly and will i be able to see the fire and brilliance?
length 8.81mm x Width 7.1 mm x depth 4.99
ratio is 1.24

depth 70.3 %
Table 58 %

I would like to put a cushion stone in a Leon Mege setting.
I havent decided on a Halo or Pink Halo or setting R919 or R790.

Thanks for all of your help!!

Hi pryncess and welcome!

Firstly, have you seen this diamond in person or is it online? If online, can you get any images such as ASET, detailed photographs and the crown height please? All the basic numbers give are a chalk outline of the stone, so the above info would be very useful as without it, there is no real way to judge if the diamond will be a good performer and offer the sparkle and beauty you want. If you have seen it in person, is it the type of cushion you are looking for concerning shape, faceting, performance etc?

Just to mention also the term Ideal Cut concerning this diamond, GIA do not grade fancy shapes for cut quality so this description probably comes from the seller, however such labels do not automatically get you a well cut diamond.

If you could give us some more details concerning where the stone is for sale ( store or online) etc then we can help you from there.
