Hi, I am fairly new to ring world so a friend recommended this site for some help. I am looking to propose to my girlfriend in the next few months and I have found a few styles so far but what she likes is the double halo with the split shank , round center stone, round halos. My price range is around 4000.00, I would like to find one with the wedding band but I believe that’s asking too much. I don't know much about clarity and cuts (stuff like that) so im open to any help at all. I figured adding a pic might make things a little easier.

That type setting is going to be At least half your budget :blackeye:
Would she take a split shank single halo, or one without diamonds down the shank?

Yes i think she would be ok with a single halo, maybe even without the shank. We looked at rings over the summer and that style popped out from the rest.

Thank you, the Ritani website really helped I think I found what I was looking for and still stayed within my budget.

Are you going with that setting or another one?

I think im going with this one,detail_primary_m1r3766c_jp_tableview1_shadow_1_.png

with that style I could get a bigger center stone which is nice.

Oh great! Gokd old gold sells ritani, that stone i linked you would look just perfect with it, great performer

Now lets say I but the ring and stone from different stores, where would I go and how expensive it is to have that stone set in the ring?

Some places do charge to place a stone and setting from two different places. Good old gold and whiteflash both sell ritani and give pricescope and wire discounts and wouldnt charge to set it. plus have fabulous ideal cut stones.

Where were you planning on getting the stone

Go for the double halo as she likes. It only makes sense to go with a single halo if you are saving a lot of money, like if you were picking one closer to $1000-$1500.

Ritani V-shank in 18K: $2240

Blue Nile double halo in 18K: $2145

The original one you posted costs less.

True but i think that ritani is a better quality and good old gold has a nice upgrade policy. That many diamonds in a setting i would want them to be a good quality melee. Plus that .6 ct is appropriately priced, or you could see if he could find you an i clean SI stone closer to .7 ct ( id still stay at an I+ though)

or ritani has this one (i wouldnt look at any other diamonds usually but there reserve one have a lot of info and pics )

Might be in budget if you ask them to make that ring in 14k.

I tend to think someone who wants a Super Bowl ring wants... a Super Bowl RING! A single halo does not provide the presence that a double does.

B2C also has an upgrade policy.

I guess it depends what about that style she likes.
If she liked the overall sparkle and design id get her the better made single halo. Itll have more Sparkle than double the melee of lower quality , however if she just wants it to look big, than that original one is an option

This weekend my friends girlfriend did some snooping and found out that she does love the halo but loves the cusion cut so back to the drawing board.

Sounds like she is going for a Tiffany Soleste look.

If you aren't going for the finest quality setting, I think $2500 should cover it. Rectangular cushion, about .5-.6 cts $1500.
