Hello friends :wavey:

Ever since I gave my momma-in-law a small oval prong-set emerald antique pendant for mother's day I've had a yearning... I need one!! Her's is about a 5x3 mm oval if I had to guess. I could be totally off on size though, I'm not sure. I'd like that size or a bit larger.

I've done a bit of searching online but can't seem to find anything just right. I'm enlisting your help!! I've attached a picture of what the pendant kinda looks like, although the emerald we gave her was real! I love the bright, silky, saturated, included goodness of a nice Columbian emerald (though I don't wanna pay a premium).

I'm probably looking at buying a loose stone and having it set. I'm open to most shapes, too! I'd like to spend $100 or less. Hopefully you can help me out.

THANKS in advance!

Lin,
The reality is that even in a small 5x3 mm size, $100 is not going to get you a saturated emerald. You don't mind if it's lighter and clarity enhanced, no?

I really love all saturations of emerald. I love those softer greens too. Love them all, as long as they're silky! :naughty:

And bring on the treatments! I just want this to be a cheapy project, really.

Have you checked with Dana at Mastercutgems? He has a lot of small emeralds and is very reasonably priced.

Frekechild has one on sale for 40 including tax on loupe troupe that is slightly bigger than your size. Not perfect but way below budget
