Hello All,

My boyfriend and I have been looking at rings and I found the diamond I want. I took a picture of a ring from a wedding magazine 2 years ago and now I'm trying to figure out who the designer is. I googled a few designers (Tacori, Simon G.) and found no luck. Does anyone know who may have been the designer of this ring? I know that I could probably get it custom made but that might be too expensive. Thank you in advance and hopefully I posted in the right thread.

P.S - It's the ring on the right side, the round brilliant!

My first thought was Simon G. Have you sent the photo to the company to see if it is one of their''s? His line is so extensive you won''t find all his styles online.

I didn''t even think to send it to them and ask, good idea! I''ll try that. I went to Simon G. site and looked at what I thought was a hundred or so rings and didn''t find it. I''ll contact them and see what they say. Thank you.

You''re welcome! I know that in my search for the perfect setting, contacting the designer directly turned out to be the easiest way. I did find this ring that is similar to the one you want. His rings are so gorgeous! Link

sorry can''t be of help - but don''t give up searching...
that is sooo pretty!
I love that...

Please let us know if you have success by contacting them! It also looks like a Simon G to me.

Hello,

I tried contacting Simon G. but their webpage must be having problems? I filled out the contact info and pushed submit but then it sas HTTP 404 error? I can''t seem to find a phone number either so...I don''t know what to do.

I went to the following website:

http://www.simongjewelry.com/new

On their tab that says "Display Order Forms", they list a phone number and and email address.

Good luck, it is a beautiful setting. Would love to hear back from you when you find out who designed it.

Hello!

I clicked on that and it required a username and password. Thanks for the help.

Hello All,

I found the phone number for Simon G. and I talked to one of their specialist. I got her email and willl send her the pictures now to see if it is a Simon G. Jewelry!

Hello All,

Just got the word back...It is NOT a Simon G. ring

Now, onto my search again...I wonder who may have designed this? It''s driving me nuts!!!

is call up the magazine itself. you might need to get the actual magazine division thru the publisher - contact the advertising department. it might be for the magazine - or it might be the advertising department for the publisher.. and tell them the issue and page number if possible - so they can look at back issues and see who they sold the ad to.
basically - if you explain that it''s your dream ring ... can someone please help - it really means so much........ if you are pleasant about it - you might find someone who will go the extra mile to figure it out.
if you dont hve the page number - best guess at the issue month..
not sure if you knew what mag it was from....

Glad you found the phone number on your own. Sorry clicking on it didn''t work for you. It had no problems for me. I would have posted to phone number here but wasn''t sure if posting phone numbers was allowed on Pricescope (experts/moderators... is it?).

The magazine idea is a good one if you have the ad details. Good luck. I hope you keep us posted as it is an absolutely gorgeous setting.

Thank you all! Unfortunately, I only have the zoomed in picture so I have no clue what magazine it was from or even what month. All I know is that it was a couple of years ago. On a good note, I talked to ben bridge and they have a diamond show coming up that they said may have similar designs. If I don''t like any of them, they said that they could get it custom made, I just wonder how much? Probably a lot of $$.

That sure is pretty! I don''t know who the designer might be, but I hope you find something similar.

I''ve seen that ring or something very close to it recently. Trying to find it might be a challenge, since I''ve been researching settings for several week!

Start here and see if you can find it:

If I come across it, I''ll definitely post if for you. Hopefully, someone else will be able to help.

inside the ring on that page, can you make out what the inscription says? it looks like the designer''s name is on the inside of that ring... do you have the actual page of that magazine?

I have looked EVERYWHERE.

Yes, I would have thought Simon G...Stardust...Veragio...Gabriel & CO...There is even a touch of Tacori...and two others I can''t seem to remember searching for you. I can get you close...but can''t find all the features in one ring. Twisted...Haloed...four threads of pave strings...but not all in one package. FRUSTRATED!!! I need chocolate!

I think the key here is that that photo is a few years old. So I feel it is possible that the person you get a hold of...may only check current inventory...as in your Simon G. inquiry-it is possible she is new and doesn''t recognize it.

For example, Stardust used to show case a ton more incredible pieces on their website. It now only shows a sample of their incredible work. Also, some of the designers classify a certain detailed design as "Couture" and is not distributed to all jewelers. (some websites have a small couture button you sometimes miss).

There are so many reasons why your inquiries to each house...need to be many...and I wouldn''t stop until I got the AUTHORITATIVE DEFINITIVE CONFIRMATION from an experienced/knowledgeable senior staffer that indeed this design isn''t theirs.

Then after that if all else fails...I would contact the library and see if they have 2 year old bridal magazines/or any other women mags. I would take a pack lunch and flip through looking for that ad. The good thing is...designers often use the same ad in several magazines...not just bridal. SO if you have any old ones...or any friends who may...you just may hit pay dirt...and find within the index all you want to know.

I am so frustrated I wasn''t able to locate it for you. I will keep trying ... love a challenge!

Glad I could be of assistance in some way to SOMEONE! Wink wink!

One more Q:

On the scan you provided...it does appear to be ONE ring...but is there any way ANY WAY it is actually paired with a pair of curved wedding bands? Is is possible we are looking at three rings?

wow, cant find that ring anywhere but I did find one that looks almost identical minus the halo at Parade designs in the Hemera bridal collection style #R2242/R1
