Need Help, Please

I've an emerald and diamond ring. I've looked at some consignment shops but they would and could tie the ring up for 3 to 6 months. I live in a small city and trying to sell it via classified ads, no, and a look at eBay was discouraging. Very simply I'm now disabled, my husband retired, and we need to relocate to an area with a much lower cost of living, asap, and no later then September. I'm hoping the sale of this ring will help with moving costs. It is my engagement ring. In 1985 it was appraised, but I realize that this would be an outdated estimate. I do have the original microfilms for each diamond, and as stated the AGR appraisal which details the stones . Any and all suggestions on how to sell these stones/ring would be appreciated. Way back we purchased the stones separately and then designed a very simple setting.

The problem with listing on the Pre-Loved Jewels section is that you cannot post a direct ad there...you can't leave an email address, and there is no way to message people. If you create a listing there (which I have before) you have to include a link to its listing somewhere else (like ebay, or Craigslist) so that the potential buyer can contact you.

I usually post on www.diamondbistro.com,, where a lot of PS people will frequent, but it is an unstable site, and it may or may not be back to working correctly. If you can post something there, that is your best bet..you will get the audience as well as not pay any fees. Once you set up your account which is free, people can send you messages and you can connect.

I have melee for sale, and with Diamond bistro down as of last I checked, I created an Ebay listing and posted that link under the ad in PS Preloved. That way people will be directed to Ebay and they can get a hold of me..thats what I would do if DB is still not accessable. You will pay a listing fee with Ebay, as well as selling fees through Ebay and Paypal, but it might be the best option if no DB. Hope this helps!

I went to DiamondBistro and it allowed me to register and there are items listed as of today, but I'm lost as to how to put in my own listing. It doesn't seem to be working. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Both suggestions are helpful. Much appreciated.

The site is currently not working like it should on listing so I'd suggest try again later or wait a few more days.
