@-Asscher- your setting is better than the new one you have as an inspiration. That open and high set profile will leave your diamond exposed to damage, I am really not a fan. I think what you need is a skillful jeweler to touch up your existing prongs. They are a bit uneven and bulky. This shouldn’t be difficult and/or expensive, but can greatly improve he overall look. If you are comfortable sharing your general location, perhaps we can recommend a good local jeweler.
