Hi, all,
resently i found two stones which look very nice.
1.
table 56
depth 62
crown 35
pavilion 40
HCA score: VG EX EX VG 1.3 TIC range

2.
table 54
depth 62
crown 35
pavilion 40.7
HCA score: EX EX EX VG 1.3 TIC range

It seems the first one falls into the so called "older people stones" catagory.
and the second one fits into "younger people stones" in HCA map information.

Does any have suggestions of those two diamond?
And what is the difference between "older people stones" and "younger people stones"?
Many thanks.
Derrick

what? 40 degree PA, as in 40.0? Does it have a thick girdle as well? Don't buy it.

One is 40.0 degree. The other is 40.7 degree
The girdles are all medium.

That combo with a medium girdle is rather unlikely... but I'll take your word for it.

What reports ARE these? I thought GIA at first but 40.7 is not GIA.

They are both from Tiffany reports. I use HCA tool to try to compare these two. One seems located in the "older people stones"
circle. The other fits into the "younger people stones" circle and also the solid and dashed box from the color map of HCA.

I see. Well, given the numbers you have given me, you should probably go with number 2 whether you are old or not.

This made me laugh! I agree and would choose option 2 based on the numbers you provided.

Yeah, number 2 regardless. Crown angles generally are going to fall between 40.6 and 41.0 on most ideal cut stones we see. I would not go below 40.6 on a stone with a 35 degree crown angle.
