Hi everyone this is my first post and would appreciate any feedback you might have. Im going to take a chance and do the unthinkable... by a diamond based from its specs on paper (fortunately there is a 30-day return policy) because I do not have access to photos ASET or IS images.

Any opinions about these three diamonds and which would be less risky? I have used various tools such as HCA to come to these finalists. (I have already purchased the first diamond through bank wire option but have not sent the money yet so I can still change my order).

This is the setting it will be going in if it matters...

I should have written out some specs to make it easier. Thank you to all in advance for your advice.

Also has anyone had the experience from buying from B2C jewels and was it positve or negative?

I would prefer #3 but because I do not have any ASET or IC or photos I am leaning away from it because I am worried about the effect of clouds from the grading report. Is this reasonable?

All of them are GIA graded

#1
Carat: 1.02
Color: G
Clarity: VVS1
Cut: Excellent
Polish:Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescense: None
Girdle: M - STK

Table: 57.0%
Depth: 62.0%
Crown: 15.0%
Crown Angle: 35.0
Pavilion Angle: 40.8

HCA score: 1.7 (E, E, E, VG)

#2
Carat: 1.05
Color: G
Clarity: VVS1
Cut: Excellent
Polish:Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescense: None
Girdle: Thin - M

Table: 58.0%
Depth: 60.6%
Crown: 14.5%
Crown Angle: 35.0
Pavilion Angle: 40.6

HCA score: 0.9 (E, E, E, VG)

#3
Carat: 1.05
Color: F
Clarity: VS1
Cut: Excellent
Polish:Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescense: None
Girdle: M

Table: 57.0%
Depth: 60.2%
Crown: 14.0%
Crown Angle: 32.5
Pavilion Angle: 41.0

HCA score: 0.7 (E, E, E, E)

Add the diameter measurements. That is very important and will show if one stone is larger than the others.

I'd scratch #3 due to the very low crown angle. Stick with 34-35 for crown angle.

Ok right. They are all RB cut as well.

Here are the diameters:

#1
1.02 Carat

Min: 6.44 mm
Max: 6.47 mm
Depth: 4.00 mm

#2
1.05 Carat

Min: 6.56
Max: 6.60
Depth: 3.99

#3
1.05 Carat

Min: 6.60 mm
Max: 6.63 mm
Depth: 3.98 mm

Or if anybody has other ideas of what I should look for I am open to suggestions.

Budget for diamond is $10800

I like the second one, but I think you're paying a premium for very high clarity...unnecessarily. I would drop down to the VS range to save some cash or get a bigger stone. :)) But if very high clarity is something you personally or culturally prefer, it's a nice stone.

There are quite a few people with the same general search parameters and budget at the moment, so if you find something you really like, especially if a PSer recommends it based on the budget you provided here, make sure to reserve it ASAP.

Thank you, I will ask for photo of #2 diamond!

Got sent some images of the diamond #1. Can anybody tell me anything about them?

Could you pls post the images...

B2C has good collection of diamonds with best prices and I am sure like me, you will also like their services. Their policies (such as Return, refund, warranty, Lifetime Upgrade & shipping) are also pretty flexible.

I'd agree with DS and scratch #3 ALtogether. Either of the other 2 looks like they could have some possibilites. The second one has a little better spread because it's a little shallower, but I like the slightly smaller table in #1.

If you drop down in color and/or clarity you could look at something like these:

Alright I am seriously considering getting a larger diamond now.

Here are the photos I mentioned earlier.

At work right now so can't be long

It looks nice. But I also wouldn't pay over 10k for a 1ct. Here are some other options:

I'd make sure this one's eye clean:

This one too - it looks like that cluster of inclusions can be covered by a prong:

This one's gorgeous:

Thank you all, I appreciate your replies and suggestions. Some of the diamonds were a little over my budget or had a few too many flaws for my preference.

These two stood out for me:

#1 http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/1.124-g-vs2-round-diamond-ags-104060038143

#2 http://www.b2cjewels.com/dd-3428431-1.25-carat-Round-diamond-F-color-VS2-clarity.aspx?cid=DiamPS&utm_source=pricescope.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=pricescope.com

These are the images from #2

Can anybody interpret the ASET images from this post and my previous post? i.e. approximate a grade on the AGS light performance scale?

Well thats it I guess.

I wanted to change my order to the 1.25 Carat F color

Bigger stone, better color, better ASET, only about $550 more but someone else sniped it.

I am thinking that mine will turn out pretty decent though.

If anybody is interested for their own shopping purposes, it was $9750.00 for it.

Had a discount for the setting so in a way it was $9500 for the stone.

I can also write some posts after I recieve it to comment on my experience with B2C if anyone is interested.

Thanks everybody for your help

The photos look awesome..This diamond really looks good to me.

Alright well since their is virtually no other reviews about B2C jewels ANYWHERE it seems, I will do everyone a favour and write a detailed review of my experience when I recieve my order.

So far my order has been delayed slightly but that has been my own fault. I have contacted them about changing my order about 6 times now which has really slowed things down. I finally confirmed my order today so I am expecting it within a week or so.

After the ring gets here I will take lots of pictures to post as well as take my order to an acredited gemologist and have him look at the diamond specifications as well as the setting quality and the quality of the pave stones in the setting.

Then hopefully people will get an idea of whether they want to shop there or not. I think people are afraid to try them because there is not enough information on them?

Get back to you guys soon.
