Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I need your help.
Good Old Gold have found for me a matching pair for earrings (see earlier post http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamondResults.php?shape=1&ctMin=.6&ctMax=.69&clarity=32&color=16&optSym=6&resultsColumns=268435471 )

These are AGS certified diamonds. How does it compare to GIS certification?
What do you think about this diamonds? Is that a good choice?

Thank you
Hi Marina - They are almost twins. A nice pair. Most prefer AGS over GIA for good reasons.

Critically speaking, I would like the pavilion variences a little smaller on #2. .7 degree on pav is not very common in GOG stock. But opposite pavilion facets compensate each other so beauty and optics are not visibly affected.

Another point you might want to be aware is that these stones are not necessarily an elite in the spread (diameter). But the not-excellent-spread does not come from steep/deep angles. It is because of girdle thickness, which in any way in this case I believe does not affect the beauty of the diamond at all. This is where I choose a diamond with spread of less than 6.4mm/ct. These two are very close to that (6.39 - 6.40). There is a benefit of this girdle - they are more resistent to chipping without scrificing the beauty.

Overall I believe this is a very good pair with excellent light performance. I would buy.

They are gorgeous! And a great size.

The IS on both look great. Should be stunners.

Thank you, guys. I think I am better quickly call my bank to make a purchase as I know it''s hard to find a pair of quality diamonds for earrings. Thanks a lot for your advice.

That size is indeed VERY hard to find! They have an appearance close to .75''s with a big price break! Good for you!
