Hi PriceScopers,

I would really appreciate any feedback regarding this antique cushion I have on hold from James Allen. ASET is attached. I'm not sure how to interpret it since it is on a black background and I am used to looking at white backgrounds. I want a diamond that really sparkles - do you think this one fits the bill or is there too much light leakage?

Thanks everyone!

Thanks Laila. The difference I see is that the one you posted has more black in the middle of it. Is this a good thing?

I really like the chunky antique faceting and outside of paying more for an AVC do you think I can do any better in terms of light performance than the diamond I posted?

Thanks again!

I thnk it's fine. AVC if you want zero mush; it is really really really difficult to find an antique cushion without it some mush.

Wow that's a nice looking stone :)

Thanks for the responses so far.

Here is what the James Allen geologist said about the diamond:

"I have some fantastic news regarding the gemologist's feedback on the diamond! They determined that your selection is bright, lively and has great performance. As expected, it has a true "I" color and appears completely eye clean. It has a soft cushion shape and the gemologist really favored its wider, antique faceting."

Does anyone else have opinions/advice for me about this stone? Is this a quality antique cushion or should I hold off and wait for something better to come along? It is priced at $17k before the PS discount. Is this a good price? I have until tomorrow to make up my mind so any and all comments are greatly appreciated!

And by geologist i mean gemologist :) oops!

It looks like a beautiful stone in the video. I think it is a great choice
