Need opinions! Are these Tahitians keepers??

Ah, I see the vendor picture now. Hmm, honestly the vendor picture doesn''t look too good as well. There really isn''t a lot of overtones/orient in the strand. You can visit other vendors website to take a look at those with orient and the colours really do come out quite a bit, that might help give a feel of how vibrant these tahitians are.

Your skin tone is beautiful and there will be a perfect strand out there. The problem with tahitian pearls is that there is so many different variations in colour that it is so hard to just have one strand -- just look at DiaDiva''s collection!

Well thanks so much for your input. You may have me rethinking the whole tahitian thing. Maybe they are'nt meant for "my" skintone....but they look great on DiaDiva!!! I did just win a strand of Lavender freshwater pearls from Pearl Paradise on Ebay...........so that may be just the pearl fix that I need at the moment!! LOL!

CCN...there is definitely a perfect strand of tahitian somewhere. You just have to keep looking. I bought all my strands without trying and I guess I was lucky that they just worked for me.

Have you tried contacting Elana? I just saw this new strand on her site and thank goodness I''m no longer in the US so no more free shipping = equals no more shopping (for now...) coz it''s a beautiful strand.

I won''t give up on them just yet!! DD, I check tha site out often because of you! LOL! Those are just GORGEOUS! I wish they were in budget though. I may just have to up my budget in order to get the strand that is perfect for me!!!

Well, I did get some Lavender Pearl Paradise freshwater pearls today that were brand new with the full appraisal, DVD etc that I won from an Ebay seller at a price I could not resist!!! I will post pics! I am still on the hunt for Tahitians...........more in the $300-$400 budget. I know that they are out there!!!!!!

I may do so! I am going to wait until after the holidays to see what comes up! Selections are few right now so I may find something lovely once stock is replenished after the holidays. So hard to get a true idea about what pearls look like online verses real life. I did talk to a vendor the other day and I really appreciated his honesty as he agreed with me that I don''t want to just keep buying pearls only to send them back. He did tell me that the different colors/shapes may be loved by one and not the other so it is hard for him to narrow what I personally liked down. Naturally, I would love to afford a top of the line strand, but I do believe I can find a lovely strand without breaking the bank. There is a lovely strand that I am strongly considering, however, he said that after New Years, they will be getting new strands in and he will send me an email when they arrive......... You get a feeling that when the vendor is not really raving over what you are considering, then you may want to stare clear of that strand/item.
