Have you requested ideal scope images and a gemological evaluation yet?

Without seeing any idealscope images, #1 would be my choice. All the numbers are optimal, I prefer VS2 over SI1, it is XXX, and it has the largest diameter (along with #3).

I have request the ideal scope image for the third one, as the first two are not from their NY office, so they cannot provide ideal scope images for them. I haven't request for gemological evaluation, I am not sure about how to request, any suggestions will be great help.

They all look really good.

Me too! # 1 would be my choice.

Diamond # 1 - Looks promising.

All you need to do is open a chat session from their web site or call their customer service and say you want to make a phone appointment to have your diamonds reviewed.

#1 would be the one I'd prefer based on the numbers, but with JA you do get 3 IS images and gemologist reviews so I'd explore all your options and possibilities, put on hold the most likely ones (like that first one) and then ask for reviews of them so you don't accidentally use up your chances before finding what you really want.

If you let people know here what you are looking for and your budget, people can give you some extra input and perhaps a few more possibilities that might be better than one of the ones you currently have on hold.

Yes, they have sent me email, they will provide IS images and gemologist reviews.

I am looking for one loose diamond, I want a better cut, eye clean, better size. My budget is 2K.

Hi readzhu-

I only say because once you have used up your 3 chances, they aren't particularly inclined to give you any others. (Speaking from experience here) so if you mess up and ask for IS images and reviews on what turns out to be a not so good choice, then you've only 2 left. That's why I say let people here help you make some choices that look really promising before you ask for images. You can do a little work whittling out the non promising one using the HCA tool located under tools.

How much diamond education do you have? Most jewelry store are going to just tell you you need F VVS1 but in reality most people are going to be fine with a G H or possible even I or J diamond (depending on how color sensitive you or the recipient). Most people aren't going to see color in a H unless it's sitting next to a similar diamond that is higher color like F. So you can save money and maximize size by dropping to H (as you have), possibly I, and I think at under a carat size you ought to consider looking for at SI1 stones too. you just want them to be as well cut as you can get (in ideal specs).

ETA- I didn't see much in this size range at BGD or JA but here is another .63 H Si1. The HCA was .5 on it. It's a little shallow and so a little spreadier than the stones you have chosen at 5.6mm but perhaps it's worth a look?

Hi bastetcat,

Thank you so much for you advice, I have not much education education about diamond, I use the search page find these diamond, I find people talk more about JA in this forum, so I chose from JA, and I prefer bigger size, H or color, VS2 or SI1. I konw 4C, and the HCA tool. not much other knowledge.

No problem. I'd suggest if you haven't bought anything yet putting the first stone on hold if it's still available then posting a new thread with a title saying you are looking for a RB diamond and your budget. Then in the post say what you are looking for (color, clarity, well cut, budget and where you might be flexible in terms of chcoices), post the one you have on hold and and ask for more suggestions before ordering any more IS images. This will be a cleaner solution than trying to continue this thread, I think and there are some people with really great hunting skills.

Good luck!

I have got the the Idelscope from JA,

Can you please help to review, and I plan to purchase the first one with engagement, I want to know what should I do for when I receive the package?

thanks

From the pics is say the 3rd IS looks best which is the first diamond in the post and everyone's first choice. What did the gemologist say about the stones?

#1 still my choice. It looks gorgeous. I see it's not available - Hope you have it!!!
