I am so sorry ss...I wish there was something any of us to say that could make this better for you and your family. I am sad for all of you, and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh my gosh... I just found this thread. I am sorry to hear about your . It is nice to hear that so many people from the community came together to search for him... I''m glad he was found.
What terrible news, but at least they found him and he can be laid to rest and the family can have some closure. My heart goes out to them at this sad time.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
Thank you for all of your continued prayers and your condolences. We have some information now. The beer and cigarettes is apparently unrelated (that was in my initial post). It appears that the injury caused from falling either caused death, or the bleeding caused death. It is a relief to know it wasn''t suicide, especially for the family.
Yesterday was the visitation. People were lined up down the block. We parked 2 blocks away. T was the biggest music fanatic, his favorite was the Beatles. On top of the casket was a beautiful floral arrangement and his guitar and an old song hand written on a piece of paper with singed edges. It was perfect for T. His daughter (whom I''ve known for 14 years) was seated. When I glanced at her I thought she was holding a Bible. When I looked again, I saw that it was an old Beatles book with pages marked. For some reason, that got me. Her husband has been in Iraq and is expected home tonight. He wasn''t going to be allowed home since it''s not his immediate family, but somehow, he finally got permission for a leave. Also, T''s son just got engaged. It hadn''t been announced formally yet. So, at the service, she was introduced as his fiancee and many were surprised. I''m glad he told his dad before he passed.
Funeral is today. The finality and closure will be good.
Oh SS, I just found and read this whole thread. I am so, so sorry. My heart goes out to you and all that loved this man. Many outgoing prayers to his family and you.
