He felt that wouldn't be secure enough. So, he cut out the center and welded in the custom head. I won't be able to fit a straight band completely flush, but that's ok with me.

I caught up on your threads and am glad you're happy with your ring ! I was surprised to read that you wouldn't be able to wear a wedding band flush w/it, but I've seen pictures of beautiful options here on PS that you'll love.

Beautiful, beautiful ring, Heidibrooke!!
And sorry to thread-jacket, but Roxy, do you normally wear all three rings on your wedding finger or just 2? I'm just curious, I love your set!!

Hi momma2boys, thanks for the compliment! I love your set too and remember sharing your journey to "perfection".
I usually wear all 3 rings outside of the house. Two of the rings (Ering/Wband) are spot-soldered together, so they look like 2 rings but act (and feel) like 1. I left the 3rd band unsoldered so that I could wear it alone when I don't feel like wearing my Ering.
The only time I wear just the 2 rings is when I'm doing something that requires a lot of lifting, pulling, holding, etc - for example, when we were traveling for the holidays and were pulling suitcases, strollers, carts, kids, etc through airports and train stations. Since the rings are soldered I don't have to worry about them rubbing and scuffing against each other, although it'd probably be fine if I wore the 3rd one since none of them move at all while on my finger.
I know you have a set of 3 rings right? How do you normally wear yours? The only downside I've found while wearing all 3 is that the symmetry and uniqueness of the design gets so much attention and so many compliments that it's unsettling at times (flattering, but unsettling). Have you found that to be the case as well? Gosh, my first wedding set had 3 rings, so I'm used to wearing them that way, but I never got that many comments on my initial set.

Hi, Roxy!! Thank you for the kind words! I would say that I wear my 3 rings 95% of the time...I do sometimes just wear my original engraved wedding band (which I typically wear on my right hand now) on my ring finger if I don't want to dirty up my diamonds or something like that, depending on what I'm doing.
I DEFINITELY get way more compliments on my wedding bands now more than anything else. Is that what you mean your experience has been like, too? With my original set (engraved e-ring, which I am still wearing, with engraved wedding band), I got more compliments on my center diamond. People noticed the sparkle and would compliment me on that. Now, even though I notice my diamond still and think my bands compliment it nicely, most people who comment on my rings notice my bands - I think they are amazed that a band can have both rows of the diamonds on the top AND on the side. I don't know anyone who is as into diamonds/settings as I am, so that concept is foreign to them. It really doesn't bother me because the style of these bands have always been my dream, so I am so thankful to have them and appreciate that others find them pretty and sparkly as well. But yeah, my center diamond gets left out more these days.
Does that answer your question? I do think it's the total package that people notice but probably are drawn to certain features more than others, know what I mean?
I think your set is gorgeous and must sparkle SO MUCH!!
