Hey all!
So, as some of you may know, I got my ering upgrade last year-my lovely cushion which I absolutely adore. However, in the last few months, I realised that I''m more and more drawn to the brilliance and sparkle of RBs. That turned out to be a huge dilemma though, because I wasn''t ready to give up my warm cushion, with all its charming imperfections, giving it this distinctive old-fashioned feel. I struggled with this for a while, long enough to frustrate my DH.
I even set up a "RB savings fund". Unfortunately, I''m not a saver at all, as I confessed in a thread here a few days ago. I only managed to save around 1/3 of the money I needed and my efforts only frustrated DH even more. lol. So, he generously decided to add up to the amount I needed (quote: "as to protect my own sanity"). As a result, I was able to order the ring of my dreams from BlueNile.uk and keep my cushion!
That makes a total of 3 erings for me, including my original one.
The ring is 18k WG, sz 6.5 i think? (UK sizes confuse me a bit) so half a size bigger - I like my rings a bit loose.
Diamond is 0.77ct RB, H, SI1, ideal cut, GIA triple ex, scores 1.4 on the HCA.
Measurements: 5.91 - 5.94 x 3.59 mm
No fluorescence, no culet
I was a little nervous about the SI1 clarity, but let me just say that I''m absolutely blown away with this diamond! After almost a week of obsessive search with and without loupe, in all possible lighting conditions, I still can''t find a single inclusion! I swear, this must be the cleanest SI1 ever! And OMG the sparkle!!!
