ZahraLeyla- I can't wait to see the final result,either. I know you can relate to that!! My dh and I looked at going to pick it up in person, too, but we just won't be able to take all the time off needed to get to New Zealand. We decided we need at least 2 weeks (preferably 3) if traveling that far away. And it's just not going to work this Spring.
I think it should be a "fun" type project and so happy they are Mike's favorite type to make. I gave a general idea of what I was thinking, but he had free reign with the design and came up with the perfect twist for it.

Love your earring design- it's beautiful!! They would look gorgeous with your magnificent ring- did you have them made?

Chrono, I sent Mike some pictures of the general idea of what I was thinking. He did a watercolor sketch of his interpretation with additional details of materials etc and Ken gave me a general quote. I approved the sketch because it was a brilliant take of what I wanted. As far as time frame I can't really say. I could have it as soon as late February or March if I wanted it sent, but I have opted to meet them at JCK instead-so it will be a longer wait, but I get to meet them this way and don't have to stress about it being sent such a long ways - a win-win situation for me.

AND- anyone from Pricescope that decides to go to JCK can see it,too- if they're interested!!

Matching earrings eh?...no wonder the avatar confused me - I knew the central trio of diamonds wasn't right but everything else was

You could show us the "bits" without the wonderful watercolour and we'll just see it being built without knowing what it's supposed to look like

Starzin- closer to when I can actually pick up my "object" (you noticed I didn't say ring or pendant ), with Mike's permission, I will start another thread with pictures of the "object" progressing, so you can all follow along with me!!!

OK, OK, I'll tell you it's a ring, BUT I seriously thought it would make a GORGEOUS pendant,too. I decided that I needed to be able to look at it, so unless I wanted to look into a mirror all day- I needed to make it a ring-LOL.

Chrono, they say patience is a virtue. Unfortunately, it is not one that I possess. It will be VERY difficult for me. Part of the long delay is that RDG closes for 3 weeks for vacation right after Christmas and another week in February. As I said, I could have opted for it to be finished earlier, but since my Anniversary is the end of May- it works out well the way it is with a trip to Vegas and picking up my ring in person to celebrate.

ETA- forgot to also say- Chrono, you have been the queen of teasers lately, when do we get to see something? (nudge,nudge)
