New vintage sapphire bands

This year Santa--well, okay, me in a long white beard--brought me a pair of vintage platinum sapphire bands. I happened to find them for a great price, and they were just my size. They''re unmarked (though they tested platinum), and I have no idea whether the sapphires are natural or not.

Alexis, I switch up all the time. I don''t have an engagement ring of my own from my husband, because I was given both my grandmothers'' and at the time neither of us was into diamonds. That is, my mom gave me her mother''s engagement ring (the 1929 transition cut in the deco setting) and my father''s mother gave me her diamond set in a necklace when I graduated from college. I had it reset in a reproduction setting. Then I found PS when I was trying to figure out how to get my grandmother''s ring appraised and insured, and I was hooked. After many years of admiring everybody else''s super ideal modern brilliants, I had to have my own, so I bought a.73 J I1 Cut by Infinity and put it in an antique platinum deco setting with sapphires. Those are the three diamond rings you see in the photos.

The only ring I always wear is my wedding band (though I wasn''t wearing it in most of those photos). I often wear one of the diamond rings too, either with it or on my right hand, sometimes with its matching wedding band--I have both my grandmothers'' wedding bands. It all depends on the weather, how much my fingers are swollen, what the lighting is like, etc. etc.
