We''ll probably go out for dinner and then stay at home. I hate to be out with all the drunks on New Years!

Miscka - I hear ya! Champagne is sooo good, and it''s always fun to dress up and go out. I know I mentioned it earlier, but I''d love to go to a wine bar near us and hang out there for the night. They have sofas and comfy chairs that you can sit on while eating dinner. There''s usually some type of music playing in the background. The atmostphere is great, and the food is really good. We''d go for the cheese and the dessert fondue (and the champagne) if we went. It''s expensive though, so we''ll most likely put those plans on the back burner for now.

We''ll be ringing in the new year at a friend''s home with 2 other couples. All of us are foodies, so the spread will certainly be a feast!

The theme is SUSHI and SAKE - the host took a sushi rolling class at Sur La Table last month, and is looking into securing sushi grade fish and premium sake. His birthday is on 1/1, so we''re surprising him with his favorite cake and Dom Perignon at midnight.

One of my favorite NYE celebrations was to ring in 1999 (oh my, 10 years ago!) I was newly single, and kinda tired of the "scene" in L.A. I had recently reconnected with an old college friend and he was throwing a party down in San Diego. I debated going, and at the last minute (8p) threw my aerobed in my car and drove down. I''m so glad i did! I ended up bonding with a couple of folks from college that are some of my closest friends today.
