Hiye,

I've found a yellow diamond with no GIA cert but only with a Singapore gemologist cert. It's really pretty and it's so hard to find a yellow diamond locally. Do you think that I should just go for it? 1.5 carats at a reasonable price.

Vote for your favourite setting! So undecided. The bottom right photo, it's a bigger diamond which is out of budget, but love the setting.

No one reading your request for advice can be as much help to you as a recognized diamond grading document would be. Is the diamond natural, or man-made? Is the color natural or induced by irradiation, hthp treatment, or a coating? How intense is the color? How accurate is the representation of all the quality components you are getting from the seller. We can't tell any of this, so it is difficult to respond. What have you been told? How are you going to determine if you are being told the truth or a mix of truth and fairy tales?

if i were you, i would skip it. The dealer ( i am guessing Mey***'s) will probably tell you that the local SIG lab is just as good as GIA because they say so. The dealer would probably carry GIA stones in their inventory too. The next question is why?

If SIG was just as good as GIA, why don't they send in all the stones to SIG for grading instead of GIA.

when buying colored diamonds, i would trust no other lab other than GIA.

I would be uncomfortable buying any stone other than GIA certified, If you know the people you are buying from, you trust them
and have the relevant documents, than you may take the chance, otherwise in my opinion not recommended.
