I have never heard of bridal portraits before the event - you lucky thing, getting to dress up as a bride twice! Bet you didn''t want to step out of that stunning gown. You truly look like a princess.

And I wanted to explain one more thing about having the bridal portraits done before the wedding. I''ve never seen them displayed at a reception. But the reason we have always seen it done in the South is so that the wedding announcement and photo can go in the newspaper the day afrer the wedding (the Sunday paper). Another reason is that some brides want a formal portrait to have framed.

OUpeargirl- Are you talking about downtown FW?! If so, then I knew I''ve seen you before!! We must have been in youth group together. I mean, a few years apart, but the same age group!! I''ve been there since I was in the nursery!!

Hahah yes!!! I always thought you looked so familiar as well... I am dying to know your name (not in the creepy way..) But I figure it will be a name I at least recognize. My family is realllly active there. If you ever went on some of the church mission trips... there was a dad everyone called "Mr. Old Guy." That''s my dad.. Ring a bell? My photographer is going to freak b/c she loves shoes so I can only imagine what she will do with them! Oh, I finally got the other pair of CLs that I have resoled with the red 1.0mm vibrams. honey22- Thank you!! I'm definitely hoping for him to be blown away as well. He knows I'm pretty classic, but I just don't think he could even envision a dress like this, because I've never seen one like it before. The Bridals are a great run-thru for everything, Hair/MUA/undergarmets, and yes, it felt great to get into the dress, and to be all done up. I loved the whole feeling. I even got to change in the bridal suite at the church, just like I will on wedding day!!
DS- Thank you! You are very right, I left out about the announcements. The same goes with e-pics. They have always been pretty common down here, due to the newspaper announcement a month or two before the wedding. Also, just for clarification, the formal picture that I'm talking about being displayed at the reception, is the one that will be framed before hand and then kept after the wedding.
Isn't it crazy about OUpear! LOL!! A few months ago, we had talked randomly about it, but couldn't come up with how we knew eachother, you know, without talking getting too personal. Small world!!
Pilsn- Thank you!! I want to show him so bad, but I know I can't. Not to mention my mother would literally kill me. The Bridals are a trial-run for everything, and essentially you would like to keep everything the same for the day of. You'd liek to match the picture that everyone will see, but it's not necessary. All of my things worked really well, we might go a little thicker with the bun in my hair, but other than that, everything will be the same!!
Haven- Thank you love!! Did you have bridals done? (FYI, my calligraphy will be done on Saturday, and I can't wait to post my invites!!)
wBMrsH- Thank you for the compliments AND for the dust!! Like I said a bit back, there is some dirt/dust on the satin at the back-bottom of the dress that needs to be cleaned. I am REALLY hoping that we find a good place and that it goes well.
CNYHopeful- Thank you! It is definitely starting to feel real, and it was an amazing time getting to see how it's all going to be. I think the final thing, will be reading the first RSVP though!

OUpeargirl- Not creepy at all! I'm going to have to go back and look thru more pictures. The only MT I got to go on, was to New Mexico when we worked at a little area in Albuquerque (I believe). Your dad sounds familiar and I'm sure if I came across your last name, I would have an "Ahh ha!!" moment. I'll figure it out!!

Rachie- Thank you!! I'd love to see your shoe pics, and I hope she comes up with some creative stuff. Please, please, please post those pics of the soles!! In case you couldn't tell in one of my photos, after only being outside and walking for about an hour, the red was coming right off!!! My mom said something about maybe finding a red paint pin, but when I told her about these soles, she seemed more interested. Let me know what you think of them, becuase I'm open to anything at this point!

Thank you a million times over! My photog doesn't have a studio set up yet, and my sister did her's in the botanical gardens in our city, so I thought "Heck! We'll just do them at the church", and I loved every minute of it!!
Sparkly- Thank you so much! I did promotional modeling with some girls that did bridal, but I never tried it. I've never been a big pose and shoot type of person. I've done fitness shoots before, but you don't have to stare at the camera, so that was a huge plus for me!!

Thanks to you too! I''d rather do a photoshoot like this outdoors anyway! It reminds me a bit of a "trash the dress" session before the wedding. I love the idea of it all! lol
