Not sure if I should get my hopes up...sale pending!

I've only posted here a few times to ask for advice about buying sapphires, reputable vendors, etc. So, I looked at some gorgeous sapphires and showed my husband a couple weeks ago. We talked about it. I sent him an email with the link. I know, I know, I sound really pushy, but he had no idea I was looking at sapphires and admiring them. He knows I'm not a diamond girl.

I thought he might get me something like that for my BD this summer, but...I looked back at the site today and one of the stones is marked "sale pending". Hmmmm...I'm not sure it was him, of course, but I'm really wondering. I'm dying to know, but I guess I'll be good and let him tell me if he was the one who bought it.

If I find anything out, I'll be back, and I'll post photos.

Thats exciting! Keep us updated!

Dust for you! :lickout:

What stone was it Mrs Bojangles? From GemFix I presume??

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! :wavey:

Yes, how did you guess it was Gemfix? I am still really not sure if he bought it or not. Time will tell.

It's the only site I know of that does the "Sale Pending" thing so I was guessing. In any case - I hope he bought it. Keep us posted!

I was looking at their sapphires... they were affordable and appeared so appealing... don't know why I did not make the move. I guess I know which one you chose! Good luck, I hope it was your husband!

Well, it wasn't him. I just point blank asked him, after waiting three days to see if he'd say anything. I'm not that shocked, really. He doesn't usually make fast decisions like that. The stone I saw was pretty large; I was wondering if it would look too big. It is beautiful though! I hope whoever gets it enjoys it.

Too sad... I am sorry, it is a beautiful stone. And the price was good. Well, I was waiting on it for too long, as well.

But tell me, now that you lost the stone, what are you going to do with your husband? I'd heat-treat mine, with beryllium, but it is useless... :wink2:

You are too funny! I wonder what the beryllium would do. ??

The stones I was looking at were the Montana sapphires. I wasn't expecting the biggest one on the page, but that's the one that is marked "sale pending". It's lovely. However, there are many other sapphires in the world. ;)

That's a very true sentiment. When I miss out on something I really wanted, my mom always tells me "There will always be more out there." HAHAHAHA. And, she's always right!

I purchased a sapphire from gemfix this week - it's not exactly what I am looking for so it's going back. Unfortunately, it's not the one you had your eyes on.
