Now I really did it :((

So RED! Fun boots, @missy

I am reporting in on yesterday. Absolutely brain fuzzed.
Seven hour drive, then...
Atlanta traffic! Felt like constant survival mode. Insane that people do this twice a day every day to get to work. 8 lanes each direction.
My GPS sent me to a hotel on the wrong side of a huge mall (same street number, multiple Peachtree streets?!), but I did not know until I had paid for long term parking and also I sure as heck was not getting back in traffic. So I walked a half mile to my hotel.
I mentioned as I checked in that I had lost my reading glasses. They said a driver would take me to buy new glasses. I kept saying I just wanted to go to my room but they insisted, and had an old guy who normally is a greeter (and had trouble driving in his own lane) to take me to Walgreens. By the time I got to my room I was totally exhausted.

I had booked this overpriced hotel because it was in the same building as the french consulate.
Next morning I go to the consulate...fortunately an hour early....they said the visa center had moved to downtown Atlanta, so I made a mad dash to my car and drove to downtown. My GPS could not find the address, so I ended up parking in a bad neighborhood of bombed out looking storefronts and had to walk 15 minutes back up into downtown. JUST made my appointment.

After appointment walked back through the “interesting “ neighborhood to my car
then tried to get out of Atlanta. I could see where I should go but the street was blocked. It took almost an hour to find my way out of Atlanta. Turns out there was an under street explosion on Peachtree street (yet another peachtree!)
Then on the freeway, a tractor trailer accident and long delay.
By that time it was dark and I have night blindness. A bridge was under construction so there was a long delay, then a detour through the countryside and I was driving by desperately following tail lights.
No civilization so I had to keep driving for about 1 1/2 scary hours but finally got to a town. I was only an hour from home, but I got a motel room.

When I got to the motel room I received an email saying the visa office was sending documents in the morning via UPS. I thought my application has been rejected. Perfect ending to a perfect day.
Then this morning UPS wrote...whoops no delivery today, just that a label has been created (for sending me my visa when it is approved).
My day in a NUTshell.
But I did have this with me : )
It helped! Lol

O M G, thank goodness that is over! That certainly was a NUTshell of a day. :geek2: You did it and you got through it and congratulations!
And of course (((hugs))).

Hello lovelies

Oy @Jimmianne what a pig of a day you had! Glad you eventually got it sorted out. I hope you’re relaxing now and feeling less stressed.

 To your boots finally turning up @missy, they look perfect for treacherous conditions. Of course, now you have them, you probably won’t need them :shifty: I’m so glad to hear that Greg is feeling better and you had a lovely afternoon together.

-12 @marcy  good grief, I’m surprised you don’t see polar bears there. Glad Mr Uber was ready to take you to work today. Your Snoopy cartoon really made me  That is sooooo Dottie, she’s selectively deaf except when it comes to food. She can be sound asleep, but the slightest rustle of a wrapper, or whiff of something good, and she’s suddenly wide awake.

I love having a clean & tidy house @junebug17 , getting it to that state, not so much  But, yes, it does feel good, and I like knowing that it’ll still be clean & tidy for a few days when we get back.

I hope your work doesn’t involve you having to move elsewhere @AV_ you sound quite settled where you are.

I have been trying to wheedle information out of Adam about the wedding @Calliecake but I’m not getting very far :D Apart from wanting a small ceremony, and Kim’s family wanting a destination wedding, which he says isn’t going to happen, that’s about it. He says they’ll think about it when Kim finishes her course in April.

You ladies are making me  thank you for the compliments. I’m feeling much better today, just spotty  I bought some cold remedy yesterday, the hot lemon kind, and unfortunately it must have a huge dose of paracetamol in it, because I woke up covered in a rash. I’m allergic to penicillin and paracetamol, although I can usually tolerate the latter in small doses. Oh well, small price to pay for feeling ok.

We went to look at a couple of new housing developments today, and are going to a couple more tomorrow. It’s due to be really cold here

:wavey:

@Jimmianne, I am so sorry you had to endure all those stressful situations! Just awful! I hope by now you are home safe and sound, and recuperating from all these "adventures". (((Hugs)))

@missy, glad your boots found their way to you! They are really nice, love the color and they will be great for icy conditions.

My Uber driver and Personal Trainer neglected to tell me our furniture was going to be delivered today. When he left for the gym he said "you'll be texting me in about 30 minutes". He was right. I was rather shocked walking in to our bedroom. I smelled something like paint or varnish when we came in the house tonight and he said "I don't smell anything". The putz. It's gorgeous furniture and HUGE.

@Austina I do not care to think of the future & for now, I can get away with it...

@Jimmianne In my experience, this is how travel to - & fom France works every time! Once in France things fall into place.

@marcy WHOA! Good night ,)

Hi NIRDI’s.

Callie, i guess I will do my training tomorrow. Since I am doing the same thing he only wants me lifting twice a week. So I moved it to tomorrow night. Hope things are going well for you.

Missy, love your smoking hot new boots. I do enjoy having my own personal trainer. I actually feel a bit more sore tonight that yesterday. I am excited to see how this works for me. I sure need to do something. Most of the snow was off the main roads today but Marty did take me in and pick me up. This is typical spring weather around here. Did you make a dent on closet?

Junebug, I agree shopping together does make it less of a chore for me. Plus Marty can carry in things way easier than I can. Muscles at work. Hopefully you’ll get a 10% coupon before your next service. It was a reminder card to schedule my service. i think Marty is thrilled I finally just said “sure” let’s try it. I am worried about it aggravating my really bad knee but it can only be good for me. it does feel good to have deep cleaning done; it is worth the effort.

AV, mm cake. I love being somewhere so dark you can see the Milky Way. Luckily I can get somewhere dark enough in about 20 minutes.

Jimmianne, Marty used to go to Atlanta a lot and always tells me how bad the traffic is there; he always had to pick a hotel so he is going the right direction to get to work. And he says everything is named Peachtree. What a day you had; I hope your VISA gets approved ASAP.

Austina, that is too cute Dottie can heard food; she doesn’t want to miss anything. Darn info on the wedding is limited. Oh no to waking up with a rash; feel better.

My day started at -12 but it was up to +15 when Marty picked me up at 5. Woo hoo.

Off to move some stuff in to my dresser.
Marcy

:wavey:Austina, sorry to hear you are not feeling well and woke up with a rash! I hope you guys have fun looking at houses and I’ll be very interested to hear your impressions.

Marcy, your furniture is BEAUTIFUL. How did you sleep in your new bed? It looks so cozy and good for dreaming. That silly Uber driver. Always being cute. Happy to hear you are training!

AV, so true. My day in Atlanta was similar to nervewracking travels to France during the strikes and flooding.

Missy, thank you for the Panda hug. I could feel it! It helped! Your new red boots are awesome! You are going to look so cute in them and what a great color for gray days.

Thanks, June, for your thoughts. I hope you are doing well.
Sandeek, Callie, Scandi, TeKate :wavey:

When I got home my new to me Chanel knit coat was waiting there.. Yay!
I could not decide it I would keep the coat...slightly too large, but took it to the tailor and she thought it was good. Here it is on short me, and on the tall runway model to show the beautiful color. I plan to wear it open over jeans as a duster after the wedding. I love it, it’s my new cozy soft “teddy bear”.

@junebug17 thanks Junie. They are a fun pop of color and will certainly brighten up any cold snowy icy day. And I won't mind if I do not get to use them this winter. It's one of the reasons I decided to go ahead and get them. Hoping Murphy's Law would take effect re snow and ice. What are your weekend plans?

@AV_ thank you very much for the lovely red boot compliments. I agree fun is the word that describes them. Any weekend plans? How is writing going?

@Austina glad you are feeling better. Good luck house hunting and stay warm. It's probably colder where you are today than where we are as it is supposed to reach the high 50s F here. But then drop dramatically tonight and over the weekend. Oh well I guess we need to choose indoor activities this weekend. I would be getting cabin fever if not for the mild week we had this past week. But now that more typical February weather is on its way I am sad. I was loving the spring fever feeling.

@marcy your furniture is lovely. And looks right at home where it is. :appl:And how sweet that Marty took care of it and surprised you. Even better. Yay for Uber Marty to the rescue. Yes Greg and I made more than a dent and cleared out the whole closet. I counted and I had (sit down if you have a weak heart lol) 42 pairs of Jeans. OMG and LOL. I gave all of them away to Good Will. I did not even try them on and many of them had the tags still on them as in never worn. It was a bit sad getting rid of the jeans I wore all through the 90s when Greg and I were dating. I remember the jeans I wore the first time he came over to my apartment on our second date. Our first date I was at work so I was wearing work clothes but that second date I remember exactly what I was wearing. Powder blue cropped sweater top with faded blue jeans boot cut. Sigh. I was tempted to keep them but decided to let them go and let someone else (hopefully) enjoy them. And now my closet is (almost) empty and I can start anew. LOL JK! I want to continue my clear out over the next month or so and then make more room in each closet by dividing up the rest of my clothes and having space in each closet. That will be lovely.

@Jimmianne oooh LOVE your Chanel coat. Swoon! Looks beautiful on you too.:kiss2: I prefer the coat on you over the model. Truth.

@Sandeek good morning and I am hoping you are feeling better and stronger and having a good week. Sending you much love and many hugs and lots of good thoughts. XOXO.

@Tekate you are on my mind and wishing you safe travels tomorrow. Sending you hugs and love and all my condolences.

@Calliecake congrats on doing so much for your niece's shower. I am sure she will love everything you have done for her and appreciate all the hard work. And how wonderful that she gets to keep some of the flowers as mementos of the special occasion.

So if you read my book to Marcy you will already know mission accomplished and yesterday was a productive day re closet clearing. I cannot believe how many jeans and dresses and miscellaneous clothing I got rid of. I won't lie and say it was easy but I am happy I did it. Today Greg is on his way to the beach house and hopefully he will be back by early afternoon and we will take a walk outside as today is the last mild day for a long while I believe. In the meantime I might continue some clearing out of closets and straightening up as our cleaning person is coming next week. Lots of cleaning to do before she arrives.

Have a wonderful Friday girls.

Sharing with you 2 pics. One that my niece Bethany drew in December and one of Zena from yesterday.

Screen Shot 2019-02-08 at 7.57.34 AM.png

and Zena. Wonder boxer. She is a very sweet girl.

Missy, love the photos. Bethany is talented. When you see her, please ask what kind of paint she used. and .....What a beautiful spotted tummy!
Thank you about the coat. I think it looks better on me too! :lol-2:
At least I have the good sense to show off all the buttons...

@missy Wherever writing is going, it is going without me. I have review notes to go over. I could not bear to look at them beyond a quick scan (& they are good fun), then I went on to enjoy the laziest day possible. So be it!

Good to hear that your pile of disused clothing is flying away. I need to figure out my spring stuff, since weather is changing fast & taking me by surprise, as it shouldn't.

@AV_ glad you enjoyed a lazy day. Some (many) days we need just that to get the juices revived and flowing. Take the time you need and enjoy and relax and I am sure when you are ready you will know it. Thanks it was cathartic to get all those clothes out of that big closet and hoping it goes to good use and that others can wear and enjoy it.

We had a lovely walk today and look at this sweet baby. OMG he is so smart and precious and he is 1 year old today. Happy birthday Tundra.:kiss2:

Those blue eyes!

Good name for a cat & not common; they always hold on to their own wilderness.

Thank you for all the hand-holding!

Hi NIRDI’s! Thank you for the kind words about our furniture.

Jimmianne, you look fabulous in your Chanel coat. I think it will look fabulous for the wedding. Love the color. I actually slept great in our new bed until about 2:30 then my calf starting squawking at me which it did the rest of the night. It’s achy from training.

Missy, springtime will arrive before you know it. Where you live anyway. That is an impressive collection of jeans; nice that you donated them to Good Will. Woo hoo for being able to spread out your clothes. Bethany is quite an artist and love the picture of Zena. Glad to hear you got to go on a walk. Tundra is a cutie.

AV, glad spring is coming your way too.

Marty added weight on my dead lifts and I did more sets. I am going to be sore. #mytrainerisgonnapay

I think I’m catching a cold. Bummer.

We are having a chilly weekend here. Phooey.

I am very achy so I had to look up this joke. This will be me in about a week.

WEEK AT THE GYM
If you read this without laughing out loud, there is something wrong with you. This is dedicated to everyone who ever attempted to get into a regular workout routine.
Dear Diary,
For my birthday this year, my daughter (the dear) purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me.
Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try.
I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Belinda, who identified herself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear.
My daughter seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.
________________________________
MONDAY:
Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Belinda waiting for me. She is something of a Greek goddess - with blond hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!!
Belinda gave me a tour and showed me the machines. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which she conducted her aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring!
Belinda was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time she was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week-!!
________________________________
TUESDAY:
I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Belinda made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air then she put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile. Belinda's rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT-!! It's a whole new life for me.
_______________________________
WEDNESDAY:
The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot.
Belinda was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. Her voice is a little too perky for that early in the morning and w hen she scolds, she gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying.
My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Belinda put me on the stair monster. Why the hell would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Belinda told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. She said some other shit too.
_______________________________
THURSDAY:
Belinda was waiting for me with her vampire-like teeth exposed as her thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late - it took me that long to tie my shoes.
Belinda took me to work out with dumbbells. When she was not looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. She sent another skinny bitch to find me.
Then, as punishment, she put me on the rowing machine -- which I sank.
_______________________________
FRIDAY:
I hate that bitch Belinda more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic, anorexic little cheerleader. If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat her with it. < /div>
Belinda wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the damn barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich.
The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?
________________________________
SATURDAY:
Belinda left a message on my answering machine in her grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up to day. Just hearing her voice made me want to smash the machine with my planner; however, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel.
________________________________
SUNDAY:
I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my daughter (the little shit) will choose a gift for me that is fun -- like a root canal or a hysterectomy. I still say if God had wanted me to bend over, he would have sprinkled the floor with diamonds!!!

ctd.

Perhaps seeing this put in writing will shame better habits into me:

I have been recounting my thesis in my head since the last post - 3am to 6am or so, & I am on my way to the library on the first bus (I cannot drive & do not mind it).
Now, call me anything! Fool...

Does it pay? Good question.

@marcy

What a routine!

I have one: working out some half an hour before sleep. It usually unwinds me - obviously not always.

Weight lifting is very tempting but I cannot imagine myself working out regularly in any other setting. No clue what I could possibly lift these days! I am just getting back some muscle after years of slack.

I doubt I could ever lift more than my weight, even in the best of times! It was fun being 'strong' but... I should have known better in a few regards: there can be too much of a good thing, so now I am keeping things boring & mellow.

off to the library

Hello:

Hope this note finds you all well...and as you all are.

I cannot pretend to be able to keep up here on "a basis"--I have low expectations of myself here, luckily no one thinks about that otherwise. It is what it is. I forgot my password lol

JA--You are so beautiful. And your daughter. Thank you sharing your wedding purchases and travails in Atlanta. I don't think I got what you travelled--but I read your story late (in my day) enough to believe I know what you endured. Inspiration! :)

Missy: the boots look great--I hope they work out for you. Our weather, this fall/winter is what we usually expect with warm temps and little snow (I got a sunburn walking to the market!), but now a arctic front….OK my boots and parka made an entrance. No complaints.

HI to the gangarooni. I am fading away. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :)

cheers--Sharon

GM girls! Happy Caturday Saturday.

@canuk-gal thank you for checking in and letting us know all is well. Yes keeping track of one's passwords can be challenging. What a world we live in where everything is password protected. I am going to enjoy these red boots as @AV_ wrote they are fun. Hugs and happy weekend.

@marcy love that joke lol. We are having a chilly weekend too. I am sorry you are catching a cold. That is no fun. Take care and drink plenty of fluids and stay warm. Maybe ease up on the strength training till you are feeling better.

@AV_ hope the bus ride went well. I rarely drive here but mainly take the train. Not a fan of city buses as they aren't very clean generally. I am sure your buses are much nicer. Don't be too hard on yourself re your thesis. It will work out. One day at a time.

@Jimmianne yes the buttons showing on the coat make it so much prettier. Do you ever watch Project Runway? We love that show. I don't always agree with the judges however. Just last night IMO they got it all wrong.

I am sorry about what you are going through re your dog and I definitely think that going ahead with the cataract surgery if the Senilife doesn't help is the right thing to do. (((Hugs))).

@Sandeek hope you have a good weekend and are feeling well. (((Hugs))).

@Tekate safe trip. Thinking of you.

Have a good Saturday girls! And stay warm.:wavey:

@missy I do have a few colorful recollections of public transport around Boston & NY ... You could say that things are different here - no idea who pays for it, as they barely charge.

I do not drive without much peripheral vision on the right although there is no legal limitation; a less skittish person would have likely learned to do it (& armor the right flank of the car).

Just leaving the library, leaving all electronic devices well behind - tomorrow, is another day... Besides, I'll be probably back to work after lunch in town anyway ,)

Missy, I watched project runway for the first time ever at the hotel in Atlanta this week!
They are SO talented.

Hello lovelies

@marcy, I’m sitting in bed with a cup of tea and nearly fell out laughing reading your joke. That is pretty much how I feel about going to the gym, although I did used to go, and I’ve really got to get myself motivated to get in shape for the wedding. Love the new furniture, your bedroom looks really great, you must be so pleased for it all to be done. Take care, and keep hydrated, I can honestly say, I haven’t felt ill with this cold, just fed up blowing my nose, which is now lovely and dry and peeling!

@Jimmianne you look fab-u-lous! What a find, and yes, I too think it looks better on you. I know someone whose dog had cataract surgery, and it was very successful, the dog was pretty old too. My own 2 old boys had cataracts and just adapted because they knew their way around the house, and didn’t ever bump into anything.

@AV_ a lesser person would drive regardless, that is very considerate of you not to do so. I hope your visit to the library went well. I’ve never written a thesis, so can only imagine the anxiety and constant re-running of it in your head.

Hi @canuk-gal keep safe and warm - although it was pretty Arctic (for Texas) here yesterday!

Sounds like your big clearout is going well @missy , good job on being brutal, it’s the only way. I’m probably due for another session myself! Bethany is really talented, is art something she wants to pursue? You know, every dog we’ve had, and they’ve all been long haired, have been really spotty underneath, must be a dog thing :D How”s Greg, fighting fit again?

Yesterday we went to look at a new development and the houses were as near as perfect for us as possible - only downside was they were too far from where we’d ideally like to be :(2 On the way back, it started hailing and the roads were completely white :-o It’s not often I can say it’s warmer at home than Texas.

Kim’s Mum came after work, and we all went out for a Thai meal, which was absolutely delicious. Kim has class today, so I’ll prep everything to make samosas and onion bhajiis, I said I’d make them, but she wants to help :D

We’re popping out to an open house right here later, we like to see every style of house in this development where Adam lives.

Sending out good thought to @Tekate and @Sandeek and a big :wavey: to @junebug17 @Calliecake @Scandinavian and @PierreBear , hope you’re all having a great weekend.

Austina, thank you for the positive report about cataract surgery!
It sounds that you are having a wonderful time while unfortunately experiencing the weird weather. Kind of exciting to see hail....?
How nice to be reading PS in bed with a cup of tea, and I hope you enjoy the open house today.

Sharon, glad to hear from you. Lost your password?? No, I won’t accept that. I hope you check in more often ...just make a big X on the page so we know your igloo is still standing.
I’m one to talk, I get very behind and then write nonsense, so I am only kidding you from the other end of the same boat.

.....no, it was me. I knew that first was pretty painting and second was pretty photo of a spotted tummy!

@Jimmianne just spoke with my niece and she said she used Blick Studio Brush markers. HTH.

Good luck house hunting @Austina

@AV_ enjoy lunch in town and yes tomorrow is another day. Scarlett’s words always true.

Hi NIRDI’s!

AV, I hate going through things in my head over and over; it keeps me awake. I hope going to the library helped I would probably get too wound up to exercise before going to bed. I will not ever lift a lot of weight; my purpose is to get a bit healthier and hopefully help my knees.

Sharon, we have good days and bad this time of year too. We just had the good old sub zero weather with snow and it is slowly warming up. Sadly the wind feels like it’s coming off a glacier.

Missy, darn that you are having a chilly weekend too. I had Marty top off the tank in my car while we were out today because I hate putting in gas after work on cold days. I’ll have to check out project runway. I did start to watch the Peanuts Valentine special but didn’t get far before working on projects.

Jimmianne, so your outfit is all set now for the wedding? Nice. I keep thinking of how nice that coat you bought looks. Fabulous find.

Austina, I think we have the same type of cold. I need to get more Puffs back in my purse. I hope you are doing better. Rest up. Darn that the perfect houses were not located where you want to live. Phooey to a hail storm going home. I hope it wasn’t big enough to do any damage.

I swear I am grunting and groaning every time i move today. Nothing bad just stiff and sore. I started moving stuff back to our bedroom to put in my dresser. I washed all the blankets, sheets and towels first though so that kept me busy most of the day. I changed our sheets and blanket while I was moving everything around.

We went out for lunch and are going out for game night shortly to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Her DH makes awesome homemade pizza and I hear he is making me a canadian bacon pineapple pizza. I am looking forward to it.

I also cleaned out my 2 jewelry boxes. Mostly crap and jewelry I don’t wear. I am giving away a few things and put some things in boxes that I put in my top drawer and now I can get rid of 2 big jewelry boxes. They have little to no protection on the bottom so I am not setting them on top of my dresser. We had a pack of felt pads a few weeks ago and do you think I can find it? No. So rather than run to the store I came up with a different solution. Get rid of it.

GM girls! Happy pre Snowy Sunday. That's right I just heard that some of us are expecting lots of snow...and that Seattle had record snowfall. Oh my goodness winter is holding on and just when I thought my new snow boots would be insurance against getting more snow. :P2

@AV_ what is on your schedule for today? Will it be a relaxing Sunday or a writing Sunday? Hope you have a good day.

@Sandeek hope your weekend is going well and you are enjoying time with family.

@marcy how are you feeling today? Sorry about the aches and pains. Starting a new exercise routine is challenging. Hope you enjoyed game night and had a lovely birthday celebration with your friend. Sorry you misplaced the felt pads and yes that happens to me almost all the time. Sometimes I just SMH in wonder how can I misplace/forget where I put almost everything.::) Nice that you got rid of stuff you don't wear much. Cleaning things out feels good. Yay for Marty topping off your gas tank. That's a sweet dh.

@Jimmianne just wanted to make sure you saw my reply to you in the prior post about what my niece used to create that picture. How is your sweet dog doing? Any change noted yet or is it (probably) too soon. Please keep us posted. Fingers crossed the meds work well for him.

@Austina how did the open house go? Glad you enjoyed the Thai food. How did the samosas and onion bhajiis turn out? Hope you are staying warm and enjoying a lovely weekend.

We had a good day yesterday despite the chilly temps and took the car and went to Fairway and visited one of the animal rescue locations. Not sure what is on for today but hoping for a walk though again the temps are cold. Expecting snow tomorrow and lots of snow Monday night into Tuesday. My last alternative hair delivery arrived yesterday from England and it is lovely. It's the same style as my platinum one but it's in the color "cold chocolate". I think I look best in the lighter colors now isn't that the funniest. I was always brunette but always felt like I was a platinum on the inside. And turns out that is true. I will keep this newest alternative hair however as it is still pretty. It's good to have choices. I think I am done with buying hair (for now).

Leaving you with something I saw and was like yup. Thought you girls would enjoy and agree with this too.

Missy, I saw that post! I am in awe that she used markers for that art!
I order from Blick on occasion and will check out the markers.
Please thank her, and thank you for finding out.

I gave my dog a dose of Senilife yesterday morning and in less than an hour he was acting better and had the best day in a long time. I think it is some kind of brain stimulant... The change was quite obvious. This morning he is sleeping in...I think he is exhausted from having such a big day yesterday =)2

Oh...your weather. At least Red Boots will be happy.

Hi NIRDI’s! I hope you are having a fabulous Sunday.

Missy, I saw Seattle had quite a bit of snow. I never believe Winter has released it’s grip here until mid June. Then I wouldn’t bet any money on it. i don’t feel bad today. When I bend over or pick something up I notice an ache or two but not bad. We had a great time last time at the birthday party. They had smoked tri tip and salad plus assorted homemade pizzas. There were 12 of us and we played a few assorted entertaining games. Two of them required drawing which not only puts my lack of talent on display but hinders my teammates who have to try and decipher it. Of course that kind of makes it funnier. We came home about 11 before they started cards against humanity - that game takes hours and I wasn’t up to staying up that late. The few pieces of jewelry I took for the ladies to pick from were a hit. The birthday girl picked a rhodolite garnet bracelet, my friend picked some dangle pink sapphire earrings and then my friend’s mom and step daughter split the aquamarine set (ring, earrings, bracelet and pendant). The step daughter and birthday girl were thrilled to take possession of my old jewelry boxes too. Sweet. It sounds like you are having a nice weekend. Darn that the snow is heading your way. The meme you posted is spot on.

Jimmianne, I am delighted to hear Senilife really made an obvious difference for your sweet fur baby. I hope it continues to show improvement.

Not much going on here today. I am shortening our pile of laundry one load at a time and the end is in sight. I need to wash the table cloth and pick up for the cleaning lady tomorrow. Then it’s back to work.

I started a roast in the crock pot and stuck some potatoes in to bake a while ago. Hopefully I’ll be done with my assorted chores by the time we eat and I can have a lazy evening. I need to paint my fingernails tonight.

Take care. Stay warm.
