@AV_ how is work going? Any weekend plans? How's the weather by you? I love weather and love talking about it. It's fascinating to me for some reason lol. But our weather today is dreary and looks like a very cold and wet weekend especially for Sunday. Oh well. Hope you are enjoying better weather. XOXO.

Same here... I am a cloud watcher & fog lover & sitting behind mountains facing the sea is a very good place to see those swirling through peaks in every wheich way. I get to see blankets of fog flowing slowly down the slope toward my house every morning, including today, one way to walking on clouds. The rains of the past two weeks are supposedly ending today, else, I might take away every praise I had about winters looking like spring here - the past three ones & a couple more further in the past did - not this one. I am up for a couple of overnight flights & some such pleasures next week, certainly grateful that I hardly have a few such rounds of annoyance each year & not usually in the dead of winter. The serious storm will be from my dear work early next year - IDK, for now, I am happy to be bored & watching clouds when things do not work out on paper, or do.

@Austina I keep thinking of your friend, not that I would know what to do ,( It is difficult to talk with anyone not likely to react predictably to even innocuous topics; I've run from some such for a long time, so I do not know if there can be better than picking well trodden distracting topics - perhaps some memory she likes recounting; I was very close to the person so I'd know such refuge they had picked themselves from whatever trouble there was ,((( I might have known better had I been older then.

For the most part the adults don't exchange gifts but this year my Aunt and Uncle are hosting a Christmas Eve party celebrating their anniversary and my parents anniversary so we got them gifts. @Daisys and Diamonds Thanksgiving prep is a lot but it's always fun. Cooking and baking and all those yummy smells emanating from the kitchen and then having your loved ones over to enjoy all that hard work. So worth it. Maybe one day you can experience an old fashioned American Thanksgiving...one day when we resume our host/hostess role you are invited along with many of the other NIRDIs.

Yesterday was a frenetic but very good day. We rode 66 miles but what we did was come back home twice for 2 different work conference calls and by the time we got home for the day it was almost dark here lol. But we got in a great ride by breaking it up due to work calls. Whatever works right? But today is rainy so going to shampoo Fred and then run errands in between Greg's work calls. So no cycling today.

Ice cream later than usual yesterday...Jimmy and Meghan said they though we weren't coming lol. But it was a mad dash as Greg had another CC at 4PM and we didn't get to ice cream til after 2PM and it is almost 2 hours away by cycling. Not to ruin the mystery but we made it. Hahaha.



We went out early AM after cleaning for the first round of cycling before CC #1 and we cycled in Sandy Hook in the AM.


Then after CC#2 we headed to Asbury Park before ice cream.
@Mamabean can you find the bike?




It was a good day overall but it was a bit exhausting. Today will be more mellow.

Oh and my redone sunglasses arrived and I think they are good. I didn't have a lot of time to evaluate them but when I first put them on I didn't want to throw up always a good sign lol. Here's a quick pic...just got home before the last CC and it was a mad dash to do all we had to do but I couldn't resist opening up the package and trying them on for a quick sec. The late light sort of washed out everything but can you tell they are blue frames? I love them.



Speaking of mad dash I am off...time to clean...have a lovely day girls.

LOVE! I responded to you in the Boot Thread but to repeat I think any extreme close up shot will exaggerate what is going on and I bet IRL that no one notices any slouching. This perspective shot exaggerates what we are seeing and I would love to see a further away perspective shot. I shared examples in the boot thread but I think what is happening is normal and as long as you love it IRL I say go for it they look beautiful.

Aww thanks Daisy. Must be the anemia keeping me looking youthful haha. They say 40 is the old age of youth and 50 is the youth of old age and I guess at age 54 I am still (for a short while) in the youth of old age. OMG a little bit depressing but there it is. And it sure beats the alternative.

Thank you. Yes I love the clouds. Beautiful. Stunning. Nature's beauty takes my breath away every single day be it at the beach or in the forest or even in the city. Beauty is all around. I am going to make progress today - I've got boot city zappos, macy's and costco purchases that I'm going to go through, decide what I am keeping and then return stuff this weekend. FI is going to Macy's on Sunday to get his suit.

We are attempting to ride today. I say attempting as it is in the 30s today. Brrrrrrrr. Yesterday rained so no riding but we did run errands (how is it that errands are never ending lol) and I got my new sunglasses adjusted as well. And Greg cooked for me (always thankful for that or else I would starve lol) and bathed Fred. Of course the house cleaning and disinfecting continues.

Oliver continues to be a chew monster and he has ruined lots of things just in the bedroom. He has ripped or rather chewed through our comforter twice and my pillow. It's crazy. Greg made 2 chew toys for him out of desperation last night as no store bought toy was indestructible against him. Fingers crossed this helps. It's crazy. Oh wait, I already said that. LOL.

I am going to hit send as my computer is acting wonky and I don't want to lose this post but will share pics of Oliver's destruction in the next post and Greg's chew creation for him.

He just bites it right in half. Francesca used to carry the worms around with her like a little baby. They were her favorite toys. I am crying remembering how gentle she was with the worms. Oliver is like a monster with them.







Here he is trying to paw my face. He usually succeeds especially when I am sound asleep.


OK here are the toys Greg created last night for him right before we went to bed. He put cat nip into some type of indestructible material and welded it closed and made it sort of a wormy type shape. It seems to appeal to Oliver but we will see if it helps at all. He obviously needs to chew and we are trying to get him relief from that desire without ruining all our possessions.

Good morning girlfriends! Hope everyone is having a great Saturday so far. I got in from driving to Maryland last night totally exhausted. I slept nine hours last night which is a first! I have insomnia so this was needed sleep! My son, S, and Jackson are coming in a few minutes so I needed extra sleep to keep up with him today. Austina, thank you. Like I told Callie; grief comes in waves and November seems to be high tide. I am doing fine now though. I appreciate the kind words. Our snow is mostly melted but Monday they are expected 6-12 inches again. Joy. That is too bad Shirley won’t take her meds; I hear about similar situations like that all the time. I guess think they don’t need them. Happy Birthday to Kim; your birthday and Christmas presents sound great.

Missy, glad you continue to get so many miles and look at that total. Woo hoo! You and Greg ROCK! Your new glasses look fabulous. Oh no that Oliver continues to bite and chew things; I hope Greg’s new chew toys work.

Bling Dream; you have a lot on your plate getting ready for the wedding but it is so exciting. I’m not a boot expert but they look great to me.

Sharon, isn’t wandering around Tiffany’s fun? Everything is so shiny. Our company gives out Tiffany gifts for anniversary dates. We get things like clocks, business card holders, candy dishes, frames, etc. I just get excited when I see someone has a Tiffany box at their desk.

AV, watching the clouds and fog roll in sounds awesome. I’d love some pictures to enjoy the view with you.

We had a busy day. We went to breakfast a little after 7 am; then did some grocery shopping. I had a hair appointment at 9 then I went to Office Depot, the bank and the gas station. By then it was lunch time so we went out for lunch. Next stop was a shoe store to get me some snow shoes; I got some Keens that I need to try on thick socks with but they should work. We wandered around Micheal’s looking at the Christmas decorations and decided we spent enough for the day and came home. We signed up for our 2020 benefits (looks like about $75 more a month total) and I got Thanksgiving cards ready to mail. We are heading to the movies here shortly to see Ford and Ferrari.

I bought this off IG when Jackson was napping...I couldn’t pass it up. It’s only 9K UK from a seller in Germany..They’re all Zircons but I really liked it. It’s not perfect. It has very slight abrasions on two facets with a loupe..but not noticeable without the loupe. It’s 10mm across..It was a great buy..I’ll wear it on my right hand. It has to be sized..I asked David if he could also polish the facets. Hopefully he can..

Not much to report...dh had to go to his office in Philadelphia today so I went along to keep him company. We stopped on our way home for a light dinner and that's about it. DS is stopping by tomorrow for dinner and I'm looking forward to it. I feel like I haven't seen him in a while.

i have purposely forgotten the dates of both my parents death. i remember them on their birthdays and wedding anniversary instead. i like to have a nice bottle of wine and make a real effort to cook something nice for tea (dinner)
i get very angry if anyone reminds me on the day that they died like my cousin tends to do but i choose to remember happier days not the worst day - especially as my dad was only 53

@bling_dream19 did you decide which ones (all?) you are keeping? Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

So the dryer downstairs has broken again but a different issue so we had to order a new one and who knows when that will arrive as they have a huge window of delivery and I have a doctor appt wed when the dryer is not getting delivered. I am overwhelmed once again with all that is happening. Our dishwasher broke a few days ago and while it is still usable it has to be repaired and they are due tomorrow but the time is not good and there is no way to get in touch with them. It's never-ending and if only we could be free of RW the rest would feel more manageable. And my meds have still not been approved and probably won't be. I am feeling just tired of all this but I am sure some of you can imagine.

We did have a great cycling day yesterday and hit over 60 miles again. Our total is pretty sweet.

Looking like this week will be filled with appliance repairs and deliveries and a dental appt so might not cycle at all as Thanksgiving looks cold and very windy. But if we end cycling on this note I am satisfied. Of course if we get to cycle more I will be happy to do so haha but we will see.

Today is raining and miserable so it is shampoo for all the cats but Fred who was just shampooed Friday and then errands to run. Too bad we only have one dryer on shampoo day but we will make the best of it and I just hope the dryer and washing machines we do have continue working.

Oh @missy when it rains it sure pours. Hoping for some silver linings on those clouds of yours soon!! Thankfully, the dryer can be replaced and amazingly enough you have another to see you through until then! But I know it must be very annoying right now and so totally not what you kneed in the middle of this rw nightmare! I hope the cultures come back negative ie positive news.

My grandmother is better but still recovering. My mother is slowly better with each new day but will start chemotherapy again 10th December so then she will get worse all over again lol. Got to laugh or cry. I aim for the first.
