Love the band!! And that cushion is fabulous! Can''t wait to see what home you find for it and see it paired with that great band!

Thanks ladies! I posted kind of late last night so I missed all the fun after I went to bed lol.

I got the band on - get this - craigslist! It''s so funny, I rarely go into the jewelry section because I want everything but I''m scared of getting ripped off. So a friend sent me this listing. (OMG look at this MonkeyPie! Isn''t it gorgeous?!) So I took a peek. It was a woman that left her husband-to-be and this was the wedding band he bought her but she never got to wear. So she was selling it for a ridiculous price, only $150, and I couldn''t resist. I did ask where he bought it, but she said she had no idea, just somewhere in Arizona during a business trip.

The diamond was another one of those lucky finds. If some of you remember, I had an emerald cut stone my husband bought me some time ago that I never got set. So I was browsing around for the millionth time for a setting for it, and came across this little beauty while speaking with my MIL. Her brother buys and resells diamonds that stay on the market for some time for a profit, and she mentioned to him I was looking for a setting. He doesn''t do metalwork, but while I was talking to him we got started on diamonds, so he brought some out for me to play with. This cushion was one of the first I looked at through a loupe, and he was telling me he had a hard time selling it because of those two tiny black inclusions. Well, the moment I saw it in the sunlight, and how crazy it sparkled, I knew it was for me. The inclusions don''t bother me at all. So we used the emerald as trade for the difference (which wasn''t much, since the emerald is completely clean). I miss the emerald, since I do still want an emerald cut SOMETHING, but my husband said I can get a gemstone in that cut instead. So I still get to browse!

Dani, I LOVE that first setting with the baguettes. That''s a definite possibility. I think I''m going to contact a couple people about the halo setting to get an idea of how much it will cost me, but I don''t think it will include any of the PS vendors (except maybe whiteflash) because they are waayyyyy out of my price range.

Gorgeous band! Congratulations on your pretty new cushion too!

Got to love a bargain hunter! A girl after my own heart. Doesnt it feel even sweeter to know you got a great deal?! I have looked at the craiglist jewelry but have always
been to afraid of getting ripped off. What a great find -good for you. You have the beginnings of a perfect set. I am sure you will find the perfect setting for that baby.
Dover jewelry has some settings at a good price, but their return policy is really short. I do love whiteflash- they do amazing work and I am sure they could make
a beautiful compliment to your diamond and band.

Beautiful, dainty band - it looks so lovely on your hand

And laurel, I think that if I can''t get the halo idea I have in mind, then I want a plain solitaire. I don''t really want pave - I am not gentle on my hands or my rings - and that one makes me nervous lol.

I plan to email Whiteflash sometime soon with idea pictures. I think I''ll use this one from James Allen as inspiration for how I want the band to look, but minus diamonds. I love that profile!

Oh, I totally understand about the pave! I''m the same way, but I know a lot of people love it and love that setting and I thought the delicateness would be a nice match with your awesome band.

That JA setting is really pretty! My FSIL tried on a halo like that at Knox Jewelers and said that it was really, really comfortable because of the extra room the setting had due to it''s non-circular shape. She''s decided that she''ll only have a setting like that.

It''s so delicate-it''s gorgeous.

Comfort is what I''m hoping for - the one I have now is comfortable only if my hands don''t swell, then it''s really uncomfortable, tight, and squishes my finger. I figure with a little space at the top like that then my finger can "breath" a little hehe.

FUN!

Can''t wait to see the completed project!
