Hi everyone, I wonder if you could help me a little please! We have come to NYC from the uk to pick up my ring from James Allen, which I got yesterday and today am collecting a BGD dream half eternity. The problem is that the engagement ring is a little small so I think the wedding ring will be the same. When my fingers are cold it fits perfectly but as soon as I get warm it feels a bit tight. The current sizing is 5.5 and I think it only really needs to be a touch bigger (would that be 5 and 3/4 or 6?)
I called James Allen who said it takes 2 weeks to do a resize and weren't prepared to entertain doing it during our trip (we leave on sat) I'd wait and get it resized at home but just to make things more complicated we have decided to get married tomorrow so I really want at least the wedding ring to fit as don't want sausage fingers in the pics!!
I was thinking of maybe taking both to IDJ as they seem to be an accommodating pricescope vendor to see if they could resize this afternoon maybe? Is that realistic? If not, could anyone recommend somewhere that can do it quickly? I'm not so worried about the engagement ring as its just a simple solitaire, but I'm a little more wary with the BGD as its an eternity.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks
