my diamond ring family

So..things I've learned via this project:

1. I really like warm colored OECs, I love the shifts in hue, from creamy white to a candlelit antique lace
2. Bezels make things look bigger, awesome
3. I still really like the two tone look.
4. I really don't have enough fingers to wear all the rings I want!
5. I puffy heart my jeweler, so happy I live in philly where there's lots of local talent. She reset my chipped oec into my VC, it's a great bezel and under my expected budget, and all in a week.

Also, I realized part if me missed having a solitaire Ering.
Now I have a back up set!

I knew it was only a matter of time before I had two "engagement" rings...

MTG this turned out so beautiful! I love the yellow gold bezel - well I just love bezels period! It looks so comfortable and wearable with panache in the VC band.

I love bezels too! I would have had my 5 stone ering bezeled except it would then not have fit on my finger, lol.

I also found a small scalloped laser cut gold band to wear with this ring as a alternate wedding set. I've actually missed the solitaire look a bit since getting my ering reset into the 5 stone. Don't get me wrong, I love my wall of bling, lol, but I also appreciate the romance of a solitaire.

The flow of the diamond color to the bezel color to the shank color is seamless. All different colors but look fabulous when put together. :appl:

This is so beautiful :appl:

The high set bezel works SO nicely

That is SO beautiful, MTG! I saw your vc listing on loupe troop, and if I had tiny fingers like yours I was going to do the same thing and bezel it (yay for bezels!). But I would never have thought to go gold! It is divine!!! The o/p with the gold and the intricate vc shank: perfection. Enjoy!

Absolutely love this!! Stunning
And the rest of your ring collection ain't so bad either :D

Ohhh, great idea!!! :appl: It is lovely with the bezel!!! I think two sets is perfect!

Wow, that is really pretty!! I love OECs in bezel settings. Complements the faceting so much. :appl: :appl:

Hey there,
Where in Philly is your jeweler? I am waiting on a design work up and quote from another jeweler but they've kept me waiting. I am also in Philadelphia would love to know other options. The work you've had done looks great!

Some daylight pics with my ering. :)
The ering main stone is a F color for comparison

It's funny how much bigger the bezel makes the oec look. They are roughly the same in mm measurements.

Love the bezel, too. really nice work by your jeweller! Enjoy! :twirl:

What a beautiful ring!!! I love the combination of the intricately carved shank and the modern look of the bezel. It goes perfect together   Your OEC and the setting are a perfect match. Enjoy wearing your stunning ring.

Love your jewelry family too!!! Everything in your collection seems to match.

It turned out beautifully, I really love it!!! Your jeweler is really amazing…you were talking about doing this just a few days ago! Looks fabulous and the stone looks great in the bezel! :appl:

Nice family.

Yay for oec twins!

I also really love the smooth bezel and intricate carved Van Craeynest details. It's been my RHR since I got it back which says a lot since I tend to switch it up almost every day!

Heh. I love university city!
Sure. Can you pm me via loupe troop? Ill reactivate my old van Craeynest ad.

Wow, your ring really did turn out beautifully!!!

Ack. So sorry but glad you found a jeweler!

I only saw this thread again because I read elsewhere VC may no longer be in production.
Any idea where I'd turn to if I need to get the flowers rechased in the future?

I'm going to be so sad if they stop making these sort of pieces. :(

I just love the bezel and warm OEC! Congrats MTG!

Gorgeous!

MTG, I'd definitely make it an occasional wear ring so that it doesn't get the wear to ever require rechasing again. I imagine that removes metal anyway, so having it done once is probably all I'd want to do anyway.
