Yay! I'm in. I have posted a couple of threads that all apparently needed approval but this one is posting.
Hi all! I am not a diamond connoisseur so I am coming to you.. the experts![Sparkles :sparkles: ✨](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/2728.png)
I found this stone as a loose stone on Fiorese's website. I like chunkier ovals (really love an ovalish cushion!), and this had the specs I was hoping for of 10x8. I am especially drawn to antique cuts, specifically an OMC diamond.
I ordered this in the beginning of January and it won't get to me until next month sometime. And the longer I have to think on it the more I'm wondering if it's even a good stone. The more I look at it I'm just not sure. Does the center seem dead? Does it seem too gray, too pink? Because it was a loose stone and not a custom cut I will be able to return it so I might just wait and get it in person But if I could have some better trained eyes take a look and give their thoughts I would really appreciate it.
I know this isn't a PS preferred vendor, I heard of them on Reddit which led me to find that loose diamond. My budget is $6000, I don't want anything larger than 10 x 8, but nothing much smaller than that either based on my wider, shorter size 6.5 fingers. I really love elongation but not rectangular, more oval shape or rounded but not round. Something with soft curves and decent finger coverage but nothing too giant because it is my first diamond.
My husband and I got married when he was a student in naval flight school so I have only ever had stacked bands. Now that we have three boys out of the baby stage and just celebrated our 10 year anniversary, I would really like to get a super special diamonds. Thank you for reading this and for any help you can provide!
(I i'm afraid to add the link to videos because every time I do my post gets flagged. How should I add a video?)
