Ok so we have discussed similar topics before. However this question is slightly different in that it is only about YOU. One wish for yourself. Not for anyone else. Not your children, your spouse, your friends or relatives. This wish is just for you.

If you could have one wish come true for you what would it be?
Yes this is a totally selfish question.
Go with it and give us your one wish just for you.

To become healthy and never again be sick for as long as I live.

Even an evil genie couldn't twist this into anything horrible, right?

Well, now that you mention it lol. No they cannot because this is my game and nothing bad can be twisted into these wishes

I also suspect this will be the most popular wish :)

Hmm… I have to think about this one as I usually wish things for others. But deep inside I always wish for a longer life than my mom had.. I want to be around for my family.

A long, happy, healthy life with my DH.

Failing that - Mega Millions! (ok - not really)

Maybe...a large, perfectly landscaped, heated, outdoor swimming pool?

No! Wait - I've got it! Something I have ALWAYS wanted and NEVER had....

All the people I love the most living in the one place (I'll settle for the same state). It's only 8 people - how hard can it be?? "Loving between continents" is a pain in the proverbial.

To be able to have a managed pain-free exit from this earth when the time comes.

DK :))

A big garden or jacuzzi tub. DH and I are current deciding between renovating one of the bathrooms or getting a hot tub. I’m a soaker. In the winter time I’ll be in the tub every day sometimes.

We've been between houses for a few years and enjoyed being free of that responsibility while deciding on our next move. But now I'm tired of renting and moving around. So my wish is to buy a house.

To have a long & healthy life, so I can hang out with my grandchildren.

I can’t have kids, I lost the ability when I was 17 years old. I do think about what life would be like with kids. Don’t take anything for granted. There are lots of people out there just like me.

I can't find a copy of this, but in the 1980s I loved a comic strip called Sylvia - it was feminist, witty, and all-around brilliant IMHO. I used to buy myself a Sylvia book as a reward for finishing a trying and taxing project. Anyway, one of the strips has (paraphrased from memory) a character asking another what she'd wish for if she could have anything, and she wishes for thinner thighs. The first indignantly says that with the world full of troubles, it's selfish to wish for thinner thighs for herself.

The punchline: Okay, thinner thighs for everyone.

Not my wish, but I do love Sylvia.

One wish, could I have my husband back? Even for one more day?

I am so sorry. A few days after my father died, I dreamed that I saw him in the pantry and was terribly confused. In the dream, I said "Dad, you're dead." He didn't say anything, just hugged me, and it was so real, and I remember being so relieved -in the dream, I thought maybe his being dead wasn't so bad if he could stop by. I woke up with such a feeling of peace.

It hasn't happened since, at least not that I remember, but I do hope that those we love occasionally stop by, even if we don't remember the next day. I hope someday you'll wake up feeling really good, because he was there.

I wish to be free from worry. I’m worried everyday. For my parents, for my children, for my friends and all their worries, for my coworkers….I’m a natural worry wart and want to just “not care” sometimes!

A day with my mother who died of cancer at 33 in 1964. She is a total stranger to me.

I wish to always stay so healthy that people are surprised to learn I died in my sleep.

FWIW we went the hot tub route, and wish we'd gone the bathroom reno route! We aren't social hot tubbers, it's only ever myself and my partner. One less tub to keep clean, always fresh water each use, and not having to continually upkeep the chems, plus could use a big indoor tub when it's windy outside in the winter!
