Opal Setting Help Needed

So, this should be the final request for help. After several iterations and nothing really making my heart sing, DH found this inspiration photo that we both love. Not exactly the plain setting I'd originally imagined, but as I said, it makes my heart sing :

To his never ending credit, KDJ responded with yet another iteration for me. Here are the CADS:

Here's the problem, I'm a CAD novice. I'm having a hard time determining if this is as delicate as the inspiration piece. I think the shank outer pieces look very straight comparatively.
I'd asked if the 'rabbit ears' on the inspiration piece could be re-imagined as lotus shapes, but he seems to have moved them to the prongs.

Any thoughts? I am uncertain of melee sizes, etc... but I love this new direction. I'd welcome your learned feedback greatly! Can't wait to get this going - big surgery coming up next week so this would give me something to look forward to while I'm recovering.

Oh I LOVE it!

Thank you - she will be a year old on the 25th - and is such a great creature! Our first pap passed away and I was bereft - DH insisted we get another and I'm so happy we did. We don't have many around here either - but we are going to look for a second if/when my leg heals up. Are yours related? How about difference in ages? They are so clever and funny!
I’m glad you found another one to love. Losing our babies is downright brutal but it really does ease the pain when you can open your heart to someone new.

Ours aren’t related. We have a boy and a girl and they’re about 6 months apart. It’s crazy how much larger our boy is. The girl, Keira, is adorably quirky. When she was younger, she used to collect all the toys in the house and hoard over them like a dragon over gold. They are also incredibly smart. Keira learned to sit on command, simply by watching the others do it. Easiest training ever!

I had a little time, this morning, to play with your design. No worries if this isn’t the direction you want to go (it was fun for me either way). The lotus flower idea is great but something about the way it attached to the next segment was bothering me. They didn’t seem to flow together, if you know what I mean. So...

1. I added tiny petals to the bottom of the lotus and changed the previous marquis shape into more of a stem shape.

2. The leftover space seemed like a great place to incorporate some swirls.

3. After looking at some lotus pics online, I added two tiny petals to the top of the lotus

I can’t thank all of you enough. We just sent off some sketches and questions based on all of your input. I can’t wait to see what DKJ comes back with. I’m soooo excited!

I forgot to post the pics. We edited his design and then blended a few of yours (see the bottom image). Thank you 599AAEFC-2765-4129-A1E8-D5D84E62306A.jpeg
