Opinion on These Three Cushion Cut Diamonds

Anybody have any thoughts on these three diamonds, keeping in mind that the goals are as little yellow as possible (preferably none) and an eye clean outside (inclusions are fine -- we just don't want to be able to see them)? The diamond is going in a solitaire setting (though it's one of those eternity bands with the small diamonds on it). I'm currently leaning towards the first one (mainly because of price), but I like the other two as well. I've requested ASETs for all, but can you guys offer opinions/things I should be worried about based on the pictures and certs?

Diamond 1: 2.01 H, VS1, Table: 57%, Dept: 68%, Price: $12,300

Site for other info (though I would be buying it from a different dealer given the $1000 price difference): http://www.exceldiamonds.com/Diamon...nd-2-01-Carat-H-Color-VS1-Clarity-252350.html

Diamond 2: 2.01 H, VS1, Table: 51%, Depth: 71%, Price: $13,800 (I know that the depth and table percentages are way off normal, but I actually kind of like the way it looks with the small table.)

Diamond 3: James Allen Diamond: 2.00 I, VS1, Table: 61%, Depth: 70%, Price: $13,860 (I'm really concerned about the yellow tint in this one since my girlfriend is very sensitive to color. Thoughts?)

If you guys could offer any thoughts based on those, I'd be very much obliged.

#1 may be okay subject to the ASET, #2 is just too elongated to work, and #3 has sides that are too straight rather than cushiony to me, the center may not be good on the ASET, plus I agree that I wouldn't go below H for someone who is color sensitive. I honestly think you can do better than all three of these. Great modern cushions are somewhat tough to find.

#3 of these three. But I have to say teh spread on it is not very good... 7 mm is where I expect some 1.5/1.6 cushions to be...

Thanks for the suggestions. Those are a little smaller than I'm hoping to find, but we'll see how it goes. I agree that 7 mm on the JA diamond is a bit small as well. We're going out to look at diamonds again today at B&M stores, so we'll see what we find. While I would prefer to buy something from a B&M store for the convenience factor, I'm almost resigned to the fact that the Internet is about the only place I'll be able to find something that fits what we're looking for -- and even then, that's a bit iffy.

The 1.5 G VS2 that JulieN posted gets my vote!

I personally like #1 and #2. I think you'll get the most finger coverage from #2 and I love the unique shape! Just a few other suggestions:

this one has a pink tint which is very unique..I guess it may be called brown but looks very pink in the video

You can drop to a VS2 and still get a clean stone.

Ooh, I like 1.5 G VS2 that JulieN posted too!

Congratulations on finding a stone that she loves!
There is no replacement for seeing a stone in person with your own eyes.

We tend to steer towards higher colors here for engagement rings because they are the safest choice sight unseen. If you look through "Show me the bling" you will find many many of us do love the lower colors too, we just don't usualy recommended them to first time shopppers.

A stone that makes her cry is the best! Such a special memory to share.

Agreed. I'm happy with it, and she is too. Quite frankly, it's huge, which was certainly a deciding factor. For another $1000, we could have gone up to a full 3.01 carat round, but I couldn't quite bring myself to do it. Fortunately, she preferred this one anyway, so now it's just a matter of when she's going to get it.
