Opinions on these rings please....

Hi all... I was originally planning on a larger purchase but that will have to wait due to other regular life expenses haha. I would love to hear any opinions on these two.... Only considering the emeralds, the ruby in the second photo was a previous choice that is out of my budget now.

Both are gorgeous. The DbL ring striks me as more wearable and sweater-friendly.

Thanks I hadn't thought of that. I was thinking of getting it sized for index finger, so that might be a good point. She has a ring for her right hand ring finger that I don't think she would swap out.

Hmmm... well both are lovely. The second is larger with (what seems like) a touch more blue, which is a big plus in my book. I also like the mounting much better (but I'm a halo girl... some are not). The clarity looks to be comparable for each stone, but neither vendor is discussing treatments (#2 mentions standard enhancement, but doesn't elaborate further). I would never purchase an emerald at any price without knowing the extent of treatments, but that's just me. If not knowing doesn't bother you, then proceed. These are both reputable vendors. In summary, I really like #2.

Thanks. I believe the first is bigger at roughly 5.15mm, second roughly 4.5mm if the photographed stone is the same as the website's generic listing. I do like the setting of the 2nd a little better.

Sorry, yes! I mixed them up!! So I like the size of the first better, but the color and mounting of the second better. Were you interested in inquiring to both sellers about the extent of clarity enhancement? That might aid in your decision.

Honestly I'm not that educated with gemstones! I do know diamonds somewhat from reading here in the past. I'm not sure I have the time to dive too deep into it right now. I don't see any report with either so I'm not sure if they even know at this price point?

In the video, look at the lower left quadrant of the emerald. It looks like there is some windowing or less saturation going on. I don’t see that in the DBL stone.
