Hi everyone! This is my first post though I''ve been an aggressive lurker for some time. I''m looking at this asscher from Novori that is fantastically priced that I''d like to hear some opinions on. I''m new to understanding the proportions, so feel free to be completely honest! Also, how is Novori? They have such a vast collection!

Four C''s:
Carat: 1.21
Cut: Very good
Color: I
Clarity: VS1

Dimensions: 5.72 x 5.67 x 4.00 mm
L x W ratio: 1.01 to 1
Table%: 68 %
Depth%: 70.5 %
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Girdle: Slightly Thick, Polished
Crown Height: 16%
Pavilion Depth: 50%

Report: EGL
Culet: None
Fluorescence: Medium Blue

I know that asschers should be viewed in person, but this one has a very nice price tag! Worth it?

Images? Preferably ASET and a normal image.

Crown height?

EGL is known to be softer in color and clarity grading and is discounted in trade, so you will probably not be getting as great a deal as you think.

Can you get pictures from them?

no pics unfortunately. it is novori =\ just sample images. That was one reason why i wanted to find out if this was worth it. is there a way i can request images?

Crown Height: 16%
Pavilion Depth: 50%

Hi chic

The crown height looks fine but unfortunately without images there isn't much we can say. The pattering of Asscher cuts is critical so images are needed in order to evaluate this, whether there are any dead areas etc, you would be surprised at how these stones can vary, you can have one with what you think are good basic numbers then you see it or see images and the cut isn't effective....

Okay I called Novori and requested actual images of the diamond. They said it''s currently out on memo for someone else at a jewelry store, but should be available in the next few days. Anyway, since they don''t have it, they cant get pictures of it. Apparently sometimes they''ll be able to do that for people, but not often. "We have a 30 day full refund policy just for that reason" they say.

And so does everywhere else that also offers pictures.

Not mad at you, of course. If they don''t make it easy for you to buy stones, don''t give them your business.

understandable. However, would it be worth it? I havent seen an asscher with these specs in this price range before. could that mean that theyre hiding something? Stone-cold11 did say something about EGL being a little twisty.

Table%: 68 %
Crown Height: 16%

that is very very very unlikely to go together.
Are both numbers what the gave you? check again.

If the table is right at 68% it would be enough for me to dismiss it.
