This looks like a nice sapphire to me, lighter tone and slightly silky. However, it is stated by vendor to be heated. I'm totally fine with heated, but I'm a bit concerned about any other treatment beyond that. The stone itself is $80, shall I spend another $160 for GRS to rule out BE or anything else?

Is there anything in the stone that would indicate it is not BE treated? Like silkyness?
Experts please kindly share your opinion, thank you!

I wouldn't bother considering the price. Are you going to return the stone if GRS shows that the stone has BE or other treatments? Is the vendor going to refund the $160 for GRS as well?

Yes, vendor can help me to send the stone to GRS lab, and he promises even if the GRS coming back saying H(a) or H(b) rather than H, they will refund me the stone and the cert.

or maybe I should get a full GIT report, which is $100, can GIT lab detect BE treatment?

If you're concerned about BE treatment, I think GRS is the safest. Someone here with more experience can tell you for sure.

Has anyone else here received a refund on a cert from Tan before?

GIT can test for BE treatment. I consider it a very good lab and you will have the results faster and cheaper than with GRS.
The price for the stone is very cheap and either the buyer is very lucky or there is something wrong with the stone (quality wise).
However If the stone is indeed silky as you claim i would strongly doubt its been diffused.

Oh? You mean silkyness is an indicator of BE?

Silkiness means it most likely is _not_ diffused. BE diffusion requires very high heat, which will make some inclusions (including silk) disappear. Heating stone not only changes their color, but can make them cleaner (if high heat is used).

I wouldn't bother

This stone is in my watch list lol...Glad you bought it. Please update a picture when you got it!!

I think you might find the sapphire quite dark in real life. The video seems to have some pretty strong light.

I'm not sure I would bother for a $80 stone.

If its been heated it wouldn't have much rutile anyway, so I don't know how it can be silky
