So i'm a long time reader but finally getting ready to make a purchase for an engagement ring.

I was hoping to get some thoughts on a stone, round cut,
gia cert
1.9carat
color e
si1
triple ex on cut, polish, symmetry.
Hca score .9
Table 57
Depth 61.2
Crown 33.5
Pavilion 40.8
Price 22,500.

The price seems high but being able to see it in person it looked eye clean to myself and the jeweler (one of the vendors on ps).

It all looks promising, and the numbers correlate nicely with the Ideal-Scope image. It's not in the most elite class of cut precision, but that may not be what you're seeking. The light return is terrific and the cut precision (from the 2D H&A images) is above average.

Expect the fact that the price is a little expensive but can still be affordable, it is rally very pretty, thought since you are in favor of it, can take it into consideration.

Looks like a very nice stone - some of the pricetag is due to the E color. Should be a great stone though!

For what it is worth, I found what I believe to be the exact same stone and your jeweler is working on an extremely tight margin, especially for someone who has gone to the expense to bring the diamond in for you to look at. (All of the numbers you list match exactly with the numbers on the stone that I found.)

You are very close to the 2ct mark which carries a significant price increase. I personally do not think you can expect a better price for this stone from a retail jeweler, and frankly most on line vendors work on larger margins.

In my opinion, you are being offered this gem at a very nice value and you have the advantage of now working with a local retailer who has proven his integrity with you.
