Smithyboy12,
You are posting to a consumer based forum, where most participants have a reasonably good knowledge regarding colored gemstones. But there are only a very few gemologists who participate here. There are other forums much better suited to handling gem identification than Pricescope. And, you will find that gemologists are reluctant to offer their opinions from just photographs. Best to get your stones to a proper laboratory to perform the identification.

I hope you find this helpful.

What forum should I look for IDs on then?

There is another forum, mainly concerned with 'Gemology' if that helps.

However, they are very unhappy to ID from photos alone. You will be asked for other information that you will need gemological equipment to provide.

FWIW, your guesses look pretty accurate from what I can see - other than the amber which looks more like carnelian - but photos really are a guessing game.

My advice: Stay away from the "other forum". You will not gain anything from posting you ID questions unless you can provide optical and physical readings of your materials. It is impossible to identify most stones from a picture alone and any competent Gemologist capable of doing so would be irresponsible to even take a shot at it. Gems aren't a guessing game. Take your stones to someone who can properly identify them for you. Good luck.

This forum, that forum or whatever forum, nobody can tell you what you have. Sure, many might make some guesses based on the colour, inclusions, pattern(s) and what not but that is exactly what they are - guesses which could be right or way off. Without proper gemology tools to narrow down the possibilities, who even knows if anything might be a composite or synthetic. It's great as a guessing game but not to ID the stone.

Ditto this.

I often play games of 'Name that Stone' in emails with other gemmologists, but it is purely for fun certainly not anything that a firm ID, purchase (or sale) would ever be made on.

Since what you have are minerals you might find taking them to your local natural history museum or a rock-hunting club your best and cheapest bet.
