I have been taking care of this French cut diamond ring for a long time. I am putting it up for sale to see if there is interest in it. The specs I have for the ring is:
1.25 total carat weight, F color, VS 1 clarity. The ring is platinum, with a small sizing at the bottom of the band added at some point in the ring's life that is 10K .(ring size 8.5).
I have additional photos. This is an original Art Deco ring, not a reproduction.

Do you think this cam be sized down to 6.5?
 
HI - I don't know how much the ring can be sized. I have read that two sizes is normally the most a jeweler will size a ring.

I just sent David an email to see what he thinks about sizing. I will let you know what he says.
 
It is SO amazing. Over my budget now but wow - someone will be very lucky to have that!

I know! I feel bad about it, as I like all original pieces.

I just wasn't wearing the band too often, but I love the French cut diamonds. I've been trying to think of ways to use them in another type of ring. I may be starting a thread and asking for others ideas. :)
 
It’s a gorgeous ring/stones. Can’t wait to see how it will be transformed.

Did you ever reach out to someone to see about cosignment and what they would suggest?
You may get your asking price even with their commission?

newly cut French Cuts seem to be even easier to obtain these days.
original ones in original mountings - not so.

I've never looked in to consignment.
I have never owned anything that I thought was worth consigning!

Jewels by Grace would likely take it. Send her an email. You can get newly cut FC way easier. I think it would sell.
