I'm not sure about what your decor 'style' is, but I love Ballard Designs (ballarddesigns.com) for home decor, I like mixing french countryish stuff with more modern items for a more eclectic look. I noticed your clock in the dining area, they have the most amazing big old vintage looking clocks on that site. I actually got one of their clocks which retails for $160 on eBay for $50. It's in our entry hall...love it! I always recommend BD because they have so many things that are affordable yet cute and not everyone has the same stuff because they are only mail-order. I love PB and stuff but then it seems like everyone has that same 'whatever it is' in their house too.

Congrats and have fun decorating. Oh the things you could do with those blank white walls in terms of paint!! I miss having a house project. hahaa.

Stone Hunter, our benchtops are reconstituted granite, they look ghastly in the pics cos we''d just had the floors sanded and they were still dusty! I guess I could have cleaned them for the pics, couldn''t I

Mara, I still haven''t worked out what my decor style is!!! Overall I''d say the house is contemporary with all the colours and stainless steel appliances but there are definitely some ''classic'' touches with all the timber furniture. Also thanks for the website, their ideas are genius!!! And YES I am looking forward to throwing in a few feature walls, I''m just so torn on colours right now!! The whole house is a really really pale beige colour called ''bleached leather'', so I think (hope!) it''ll be pretty workable.
