...went so well, and made everything so much more real!
I figured we would be there for about half-hour trying different foods (me, FI and FILs went.) It ended up being 2 hours of just us + the reception coordinator, 2 glasses of wine per person
- plus tons of apps, desserts, etc. that we won''t even be ordering!!! We were able to ask tons of questions and the session was held in a back room that will be my "resting" room on the wedding day...where my bustle is done, the bridal party can have some champagne, etc. I kept sitting there thinking, omg...next time I''m in here, I''m in a big white dress and married!
We chose beef with a carver man, honey-glazed salmon (OMG) and garlic chicken pasta. It does NOT taste like buffet food - it was all SO good! We also tasted the house wines (a chardonnay and a cabernet). One of the best things is that we are doing a blue signature drink, and to make a drink blue, you would normally need curacao. They don''t carry this in-house, but they said they would bring it in free of charge!!! They say that they love doing signature drinks but hardly any brides have one. Blue is our main color and we are incorpoating it everywhere, so I am SO excited!
Also, they just ordered a brand new portable bar that will look way nicer than the one they have now, AND they ordered 175 of those white wooden garden chairs, so we don''t need chair covers!!! This seriously saves us $700 and I am SO happy. We are getting an ice sculpture with some of the extra funds.
