Are there any photos of an oval eternity band? I am thinking of doing a 1/2 way around one for my wedding band....seems hard to find. My engagement ring would be on my other hand. Has anyone seen one and has any thoughts? Thanks!

or are you interested in the oval orientation like this?

or something like this?

I like the look of the 3rd one, D&T. I like this from Kwiat: http://www.kwiat.com/Diamonds/Bridal/Diamonds/Bridal-Wedding-Rings/1 (top row, 2nd from left), but only 7-9 stones (1/2 way around?). I saw one in my local jeweler but it was a full eternity, 8 carats- 26 pointers. Would a ring like this look ok with 20 pointers- maybe 1.4 ct - 1.8 worth of ovals? My ring size is a 4.25...but this is to wear alone, instead of my ering.

I think it will look stunning, just make sure and see what your jeweler says about having the diamonds only end half way vs 3/4 or eternity where the shank and diamonds meet will pinch your finger or irritate. Hopefully it won''t.

I don''t want a full eternity since I think it will ''spread'' my fingers out too much. I tried one on and it seemed uncomfortable. Unfortunately I want a ''substantial'' wedding ring

I see what you mean about a 1/2 eternity being uncomfortable. I also like this band from blue nile: http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-eternity-ring-platinum_7823 , but it seems like kind of a rip-off - I''d have a jeweler copy it for less $. They sell a 1/3 way version that looks a little too thin.

I could just go with a round band...

I think a half eternity oval band would look great. A good way to see if it would irritate is by trying on some half eternity round brilliant bands. Or you could do a 5 or 7 stone oval band that gives great finger coverage and still looks very blingy.
