I just received my semi custom e-ring from the jewler and can't wait to give it to my gf! However I want to give it to her on a trip we've planned in a couple of weeks. She's big on surprises and didn't want to be involved in the shopping process (no pressure...). I knew she likes ovals, wanted something unique that was femine and would age well. The rest was up to me. She's big on antique jewlery too some tried to take that into consideration. I even managed the find a sterling silver ring box, which I am still waiting to receive.

The setting is 18k white gold and the center stone is a .79c oval. H color and vs1 clarity (gia). The pear side stones are the same. The ring is 1.21tcw. She has small hands and made it clear she didn't want a giant rock that stuck out. I know it isn't much in comparison to a lot of the rings on where but I really like it and I'm proud of what I picked out.

Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest...

you should be proud! That is gorgeous!!!

Nice job! She is going to love it!!!

It turned out beautiful! She will love it.

Thank you for the kinds words! It's always nice to hear praise for something you worked hard on. I spent a lot of time researching and lurking on here. In the end I decided to work with a local family owned b&m store that's been around for over 90 years.
Since I wanted something unique felt more comfortable dealing with someone face to face. The girl I'm shopping for is a graphic designer that is very detail oriented. They did an excellent job listening, guiding me, presenting options to me, helping me find stones, and selling me what I wanted not what they had. The price wasn't far off from most online vendors either. If glitter was a color it would be her favorite so I knew she would want something sparkly, more so than the average girl. The fire/color that comes from ALL of the stones is unreal.

I am in the same boat as your gf, if glitter was a colour That's what I want! :Up_to_something:
Pears and Ovals have amazing tiny pin flashes, so you nailed that one!
Seriously well done! She is going to be over the Moon! Can't wait to see handshots! Please update us when D day arrives =)

It is beautiful!

Oh, I missed this when you initially posted --- WOW!! Gorgeous E ring!! I love the unique combination of oval and pears --- way to go!! She's going to adore this!!

You said in a few weeks you'd be proposing - is it time yet?? Hope you come back and share hand shots with us! Good luck!

That is a gorgeous ring!! :appl:

The oval stone is unique and super sparkly and the setting has a beautiful vintage look. Your ring checks every box in what I'd like in a e-ring and am sure the same goes for your gf. Wish you all the best!

OH NO !!!!
Another man whose ring is burning a hole in his pocket !!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

You are SO going to owe us a butt-load of pictures when you give your lady her ring, Mister !!!!

and it's beautiful, you SHOULD be proud of yourself !!!!
She's going to LOVE IT

Thank you! She'll get it on a trip were taking next week and currently has no idea I've been working with a jeweler to have it made (let alone purchased a ring). Being surprised is VERY important to her and its been a challenge planning and keeping everything secret. As far as she knows the trip is for something else. Well be sure to post plenty of of pictures and hand shots.

Very pretty ring. I wish you a happy marriage!
