The original verragio setting I wanted had a round with a pear on each side. Would this look ok with an oval diamond as the center stone. Opinions please.Thx

I actually think it would look better with an oval than with a round. I think ovals are a great shape. They may not have the brilliance of a round, but I find them very elegant. They also say women who wear oval e-rings make great wives.

Thanks. Loved that!!Have a 4 size ring, am getting 2.25-2.4 ct size(not sure of specifics yet) was planning on getting .33-.4 pear on each side. Will that be too much for my finger. Will not see until the final product. Can return if I don't like but hate to go through all that.Reds

What I would do is get the average width of that sized oval stone and the length of those sized pears and measure across your finger. Make sure it's not too wide across on you. That would give you a rough idea.

Sounds a bit big for your size finger. Maybe go a bit smaller.

On the side pears, setting or center stone size?

Reds,
I think the center oval would look beautiful, but I am partial to fancy cuts. Round centers are more typical. If you go this route with the side pears, please post photos. I have a 2 ct pear and am going round and round trying to decide on a setting with side stones. Also, what style wedding band do you plan to put with it?

For you finger I would get a 1.5 ct center and .20 or .25 side stones. JMHO

Tanya's right. I just looked at some stones on Pricescope and the sizes you want would put you at almost 2 cm across. Pears are pretty long for their carat wt. You may want to consider going a little smaller with all the stones, smaller pears (maybe .15-.20), or going with different shape side stones.

Thanks so much. I was considering maybe ovals on the side but haven't seen that and wasn't sure if I should turn the side ovals sideways like I had planned with the pears. The setting I like is in the ice candy folder page number 20 of 23.Thanks for your opinions

Reds, at the end of the day, only *YOU* can determine what size is appropriate for *YOU*.

If I were you, I would have the verragio setting sent to you before setting a stone & try it on. Why make a mistake?

Also, I would seriously take a look at the Vatche three stone w/ pears on the side. It's a bit more restrained & tighter. May, or *may not* work on your finger.

Take your time & get it right. You will incurr more costs; but, in the end, you will get exactly what is right for you.

Good luck.
