I love everything about your ring. It''s sleek and stylish and above all firey! The profile is so pretty. Congratulations on your engagement!

Thank you everybody!

I am still in the novelty phase - each morning I wake up and it is exciting to rediscover the ring on my finger! I am looking at it in low light at the moment, and it is glinting like very bright white Venetian blinds, all the way into the centre :)

MonnyJay - yes, I'm in Melbourne! I found the whole online buying thing very good indeed, and Dan @ ERD was wonderful. I also had contact with Traci @ WF, and Sarah @ GOG, and whilst we didn't buy from them, they were both fantastic too. I went around the traps locally (although I always intended to buy online) and was horrified by some of the cr*p that came out of the mouths of some people at "reputable" places. One, whilst telling me that I couldn't bring in stones for comparison, told me that because any stone they brought in would have a GIA cert and measurements on it, would be guaranteed to be great!

whitby - you have such a way with words! Yes, the wider band was definitely something I wanted, to modernise the look a bit without doing anything that would potentially be tooooo different that I'd get sick of over time. I know PSers often go for the thinnest band possible to make the stone look bigger, but I love the clean, spare lines! It was also a very adamant request of mine that there be no "concave" contour to the cathedral upsweep, as I didn't like how that contour would change the light reflection off the band.

Blackpaw - I'm away from home and my camera is flat, but the pic below is one I have saved on my computer. Is it far away enough? (note the lovely flipflop on the floor below)

Your ring is gorgeous and the proposal ring is very neat.

I love the proposal ring, very very sweet!!!!

I love your EC e-ring too. It looks so icy. I love icy diamond. I like the way you covered the flash, it makes the diamond glowing like gold.

Last, but not least - the proposal ring, lying on the canvas which my partner proposed with :)

i guess you must live in Melbourne...im from there too, living OS at the moment though.

I love the clean, fluid lines of the band - I think that setting is perfect for an EC...Holloway have done an amazing job

My partner is tickled that everyone loves the proposal ring :) I'm not sure how to preserve it - any ideas? I think the lemon drop is going to get sticky if I leave it as is for too long...

And I was tickled by the compliment about my hands - I got my first ever EVER manicure for this ring, so I am chuffed!

Seeing some of the EC/Asscher/step cut regulars here - Po, Stci, Kenny, kittybean, marcyc, and a few others I know I've missed (sorry!) - I am so excited to "join the club", as it were!

Oh - I have a question. I'm getting a Leon Mege channel set (French cut) stacker - in fact I will probably get a second one too - but for my plain platinum band, what width should I have it? Currently it's the same width as the e-ring but I wonder if I should have it shaved down by ~20%. Thoughts?

It''s very sleek, simple and elegant and the EC is gorgeous - very bright white and fiery! Love the lemon drop ring and your description of it

. Congrats on your engagement!

Your diamond is beautiful and the band is perfect with it! I think that the thicker band supports the diamond properly. Very classic!

Pancake, it is LOVELY. Both the stone and the finish and quality of the setting. Congrats!

I love your ring -- the wider band is so sleek and shows off the EC very nicely!

I guess you could put your proposal ring in the freezer...that might preserve it for future generations!

I love your ring! I have a very similar cathedral setting (3.5mm and also not tapered) with a princess and love the modern, sleek, clean look of the band.

beautiful! :) congrats!!!

Thank you everyone!

My LM french cut eternity band (it''s tiny - 1.4mm) arrived today but I''m interstate so I don''t get to see it until Saturday
39.gif
I am planning to get a second one of those, and a plain platinum WB as well (I know, excess - but this is PS, right?),

Potential combos would be:

* WB with two eternities
* WB with e-ring
* E-ring flanked by two eternities (and WB worn on other hand)
* All four stacked together!

Any thoughts about width for the plain WB? I am thinking maybe ~2.5-2.6mm. It''s already made and I already have it - currently it is the same width (3.2) as the e-ring, but I''m thinking of shaving it down.

Oh Pancake, it''s GORGEOUS

There is something so alluring about ECs.

PS. I think your fiance must have got your precision foil setting the same place my fiance got mine. Aren''t they spectacular?!

absolutely gorgeous ring! I love the thicker band it really makes your diamond pop!! the cut is gorgeous as well! lucky girl =)

pancake - Your ring looks very elegant on your finger. I also think you have taken some pretty good pictures. You even made sure your nails were done for us.

Bahaha, Reggie - I had my first ever manicure in preparation for picking up the ring!!

I''m usually an RB/Cushion kinda gal but this is a beautiful ring. That last shot really shows it off in a beautiful way!

Oh, and I think we need handshots of the propsal ring!
