Paraiba... go get your piggybanks!!!

Hi all,
I had the same questions about this vendor selling such high quality jewellery on EBay, but I saw these fantastic neon tourmaline earrings a few months back and had to go for it. Every part of the transaction went as good as any I've experienced on EBay. Since then, I've bought more top-notch jewellery and everything has been as advertised or even better! Most pieces have AGL or GIA certs. Also, if you look, their feedback is 100% with close to 400 transactions. I'm not advertising for them, but I'm just sayin'...Regards, Mike :wavey:

I just wish they would stop lying about these pieces coming from an estates that went broke, for pity purposes. It's pretty obvious they use actors for their videos, and all the settings look modern, brand new, and so does the jewelry.

Just to be clear, I was referring to the store "Certified Jewelry". Also, I don't know that their "in-house" appraisal of $4 mil. Is realistic, but you have to admit it's not a bad marketing gimmick! LOL And, as far as that ring goes, I don't know how anyone can look at those pics and not see the "neon" glow and know that there is some copper in there somewhere. As far as using the "Paraiba" descriptor?- well there's been pages of opinions in these forums on that-

Uh, right here, :wavey: Count me as one that cannot see the neon in that stone - if you are referring to the pink stone you just posted. Definitely is no where near a Paraiba

That Paraiba reminds me of my pool!

...when it's clean, that is....

Are there any large pariabas (desirable and legit ones) available?
Actually I ran across this one at Litnon about a week ago and left the tab open to come and post it - good thing because I can't find it any other way through their site now... = sold??

C'mon 'fess up... which one of you bought it?
Similar colour to the first one I posted - I think that's a tilt window, lots more pics at
http://litnon.com/index.php?page=viewgem&id=5302
31.95cts
17.5 x 17.8 x 14
$18,370

Interesting that on the listing Litnon has noted:
The major gem laboratories have decided that any copper bearing Tourmaline can now be called Paraiba in the trade and will certify them as such.

Totally agree! Some of the pieces have OKAY gems but nothing exceptional. I think the story, combined with the videos of "wealthy families going through hard times" bumps up the price to way beyond what it should be for those pre-owned items.
