I have already decided on trying out the green one, left box, middle stone second from the bottom. And the top left stone in the left hand box. Any opinions on the remaining cabochon's? I was unable to post the picture directly to the thread from my work computer, so linking directly to Photobucket was my only option.

The larger green one will hopefully end up in a man ring for myself and the smaller one will be part of a set of stacker rings for my gf to wear.

Pretty! I like the greener stones in the first case much more than the windex one's in the second case.

ETA: So you got the bright green one? Good choice :)

Yes I did, the first round of pictures were really small, but it still jumped out at me. I had to have it. This may sound silly but I left the picture up on my monitor, backed up and approached the computer. My eye was drawn to it and the small blue one in the upper left. I'm getting both. :cheeky:

But there are a lot left, and his prices are fair. So if anyone spied one that I missed or one that they may want for themselves speak up. =)

You've picked the nicest ones of the 2 groups, all that remains to see if they live up to expectations.

Hopefully they will live up to my expectations.

Definitely the nicest ones, imo. How big are they? Looking forward to seeing how they are IRL.

They are small. I copy and pasted their stats from the email they sent me.

green Paraiba cab. middle stone in the second row from the bottom
0,49 cts. 5,7 x 4,1 mm oval, 2,5mm high
blue Paraiba cab. first row, top left
0,24 cts. 4,24 x 3,24 mm oval, 2,2 mm high

Thanks for the encouraging words.

The smaller one is really nice too. Can't wait to see your photos when you get them :)

If they are keepers, what do you plan to do with the small cabochons?

The .25 ct. one will be one of several stackers for my girlfriend to wear. The .50 ct. one may be made into a ring for myself or become another stacker for my gf. I like the idea of mixing different size stones, colors and cuts (cabochon vs faceted) for stacking.

The 0.25 ct cab is certainly the perfect sized for a stacker. I think the 0.5 ct cab will be good in a man's ring although I've seen men wear some pretty huge cabs!

Missed the link :((

My apologies to the moderator that removed my link. In an effort to keep this thread from becoming irrelevant I will upload the picture when I get home this evening.

They shipped yesterday, I will post pictures when they arrive.

hehe I like the "windex" colored ones. Perfect color of the ocean!!! Can't wait to see the final rings!

They came today and I'm in love.

They are small, but these seem like dim little led's when viewed from afar. My photography stinks, but here are some pictures.

One more picture, this one directly under the light source. 8)

They appear to have wonderful color - glad you didn't settle the first time around! Please come back with the end results!

I contacted Daniel M., him and Caren are going to be bezel setting these individually in argentium silver. Thin bands, so they can be worn as stackers or by themselves. I have three black opal cabochons in the 6x4 mm range that will be receiving the same treatment.

The colour stands out even though small and from a distance. They are going to have an impact, even as stackers. The only problem now is that they will put your other stackers to shame. :))

Thanks. =)

My girlfriend showcases my stones (kind of a weird arrangement) and she likes Opal. If they had more of the same quality I would've gotten a couple more. But I agree, the will overwhelm most anything else in their size range.

They look to be lovely stones and it'll be great to see them set! So pleased they turned out to be what you were looking for.

Such pretty colors. Stackers will be perfect :)

SO pretty. I love the colors.

Wow, love these colors- just beautiful!! Looking forward to seeing them set!

Such glowing drops of color...copious example of why cabochons are so appealing.

They look spectacular!!! Good selections

They look amazing! I imagine they will be absolutely perfect as stackers. Can't wait to see when they are done!
