For those of you that are getting gifts for your parents, what did you get? I''m drawing a blank on ideas for the people who have everything already.

I''m kind of in the same boat. Especially for FI''s parents, who gave us a lot of help money-wise for the wedding - I feel like we need to get them a weekend to a winery or something.

One option I''m considering for both sets of parents are "parent books" made on snapfish. This could include photos, letters, stories, and in my case, since I love to cook - some recipes. A similar idea is a scrapbook of some kind - maybe including ticket stubs from a memorable vacation, or a page from a diary, etc.

Another idea that I kind of like is an engraved clock or photo frame. For sport-sy dads, maybe tickets to a game. For moms, maybe a day at the spa.

We got them a nice wedding photo ( in a style they liked) and had it framed as a thank you.

Our plan is to give my parents, who are paying for the majority of the wedding (FI and I are paying for the rest) a long weekend stay at their favorite Inne. We will also give them a nice photoalbum/scrapbook type of thing once we get the pro pics back. FI parents we will give a regular photo album with our pro pics.

We gave our parents gifts of week long vacations.

We''re currently discussing taking a cruise together with DH''s dad and his companion, and my mom. (My parents divorced shortly after our wedding.) My FIL and my mom get along together really well, our families have been spending holidays together for years, now, so we think this is the best way to do it. My mom didn''t want to go anywhere on her own for a week, and while neither DH nor I are really big fans of cruise vacations, our parents are all about them.

We are giving my FI''s parents a grandchild. I am dead serious. For my mom, who doesn''t want a grandchild yet, I want to just give her some more money since she is paying for the wedding or buy her a new computer. I plan on writing them all a very heartfelt note as well and knowing my mom and MIL that will matter the most and mean the most.

I got them a framed pic of us from the engagement shoot. Then I paid for albums for them.

We gave my parent''s a gift certificate to a restaurant I know they like. My mom was very confused when she got it and said "but you''re the one getting married you should get the presents!"

Oh bless her, then she said if we really wanted to make it up to her we can throw her and my dad a big anniversary party one day, and DH and I fully intend to

The places I am looking for our ketubbah also have other framed blessings.

Our parents and my grandparents will get a framed blessing to hang in their homes. (I''m looking for the right one still but there are LOTS to choose from)
