I'm a newbie when it comes to diamonds but I was wondering what are the perfect spec ranges ( Clarity and Cut aside) for a 2 ct round diamond? Table/Depth/Crown/ Pavillion etc.
This will assist me in narrowing down stone options because there are so many possibilities out there it seems kind of overwhelming.

This is for any sized round diamond:

Depth: 59 – 62% but 62.4 would be the deepest
Table: 53 – 58%
Crown:34.0 – 35.0 degrees
Pavilion:40.5 – 41.0 degrees

I'm new to this too, but when I was in the process of selecting diamonds from JA, I always referred to this article from Nice Ice: **edited by moderator. please do not link to blogs per our policies**

This section in particular:
Total depth between 59 – 61.8% and maybe up to 62%
Table diameter between 53 – 58%
Crown angle between 34.0 – 35.0 degrees and I truly prefer 34.3 – 34.9 degrees
Pavilion angle between 40.5 – 41.0 degrees and I truly prefer 40.6 – 40.9 degrees

I used this article because I am a fan of Brian Gavin diamonds, but couldn't afford a 2ct diamond from their Signature or Blue lines.
