Peridot pear and pink zircon round

Here are my quickly snapped pics of the delivery from Lisa today! Now Peridot was never anywhere near my list. But after the sapphire turned out so dark, Lisa felt said she felt bad that it didn't work out. So she cut this peridot. The pic she sent me of it was so beautiful I had to try it even though green was not a consideration.
Then I saw the zircon in her catalog and thought it look really pretty so I got that one too
What do you think?

The peridot does fit.

I've never seen a zircon IRL so I don't really know what to look for. I find it very intriguing. I keep looking at it walking all around the house.

I'm not positive - but I don't think the search is over yet. The peridot is beautiful though!

I like the peridot! I've been quite pleasantly surprised with peridot myself, you just have to find a nice one. It looks very pretty and spring-fresh in that setting.

Love the peridot!! I have a gorgeous asscher peridot cut by Gary Braun and it is definitely my favorite colored stone, they can be quite pretty.

TL - that's exactly what I was thinking for the zircon! Its so sparkly like a diamond and changes everywhere I take it. I'm thinking maybe a necklace and I was thinking about rose gold around it. Do you think a halo will make it pop or will it take too much away from the all that fiery sparkle?

I love halos, so you're asking the wrong person. I would halo my photo frames at home if I could.

I think if you are going to halo it, use teeny tiny melee, so optically, large diamonds don't take away from the illusion of it being a pink champagne diamond.

I think one pointers would do it, in a pave setting. You don't want it such that the diamonds are competing with the zircon, and in one point diamonds, all you'll see is some sparkle, but you won't be able to compare each individual diamond to the zircon itself.

I want one of that same color to add to my 2 nice golden Zircons and my 2 nice blue Zircons.

Both are lovely stones. I am a fan of Lisa's. I particularly like the first pic of the peridot, and think the zircon would look great in rose gold, haloed or not.

Is the zircon an exact fit for the pendant or does the basket need to be modified? It would look super in it. Is that rose gold in the center?

Yes - its rose gold in the center - actually an entirely new basket would have to be created for it. I've emailed Daniel M to see if they think something could be done - so we'll see.
I still haven't decided about the peridot. Its a beautiful stone. But I'm worried about it in a ring. And I'm not sure I love the stone in the mounting. My husband of all people loves it. Who'd a thunk!

I can't tell how easy or difficult it will be to change the basket out because I can't see the profile view. Would be great if it is doable for the zircon.

I understand how you feel about the peridot. It's a sweet stone but if you don't love it in setting, don't force it.

funny you should ask

Looks doable - the basket is soldered to the top / center of the pendant.
What is the current size of the diamond in the middle?
Will a larger basket over-tip the pendant?
Will a larger basket sort of cover up the pretty rose gold design?

The current diamond is teeny tiny.
Now that I'm measuring - yes, I'm afraid much of the rose gold design would be lost. The interior rose gold design measures (as best as I can measure) 10mm
