I have the ring back from the jewelers, where they made some repairs to the gallery and shank. Jewels by Erica Grace are amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a special piece. I hope Jason purchases more lovely jewels from them in the future! Our wedding will be September 21st on the lake at my parent's.

The wind died down here and I went crazy with my Canon Rebel XTi. I LOVE my ring. It is so "me." I think it's perfect!

And...finally...with a penguin!



I am designing our wedding invite and of course there will be penguins, as well as the EE Cummings poem in the background: I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart).

Penguins are sentimental for us...we call each other "our penguin." Many penguin species chooses it's mate for life. When a male penguin falls in love with a female penguin, he searches the entire beach to find the perfect pebble to present to her. And when he finally finds it, he waddles over to her and places the pebble right in front of her. Kind of like a proposal. Sometimes it is not as romantic as that. Male penguins sometimes steal other pebbles or just grab whatever pebble they can find. Some search and search, while others just get the first pebble they see! Interesting!

Beautiful, beautiful ring! I knew that penguins mated for life, but I didn't know that about the pebbles. That is so adorable and very perfect "animal planet" knowledge! Are you going to incorporate that FYI into your program?
